Great video, I just put a 13 oz fly wheel weight (Stealy) on the 300 tpi, help a lot of the steep stuff !

Sweet ride. I love my 18. I just put a Billetron on but haven't tried it yet. I had the H version before and really liked it. But my favorite mod so far is the Rekluse radius cx. And you're not old.....I'm old, thus the clutch....couldn't go back.

I don’t think so. The 300 is so good and easy to get pistons and gaskets for

I love it, it is a little more linear but way stronger down low and in the mid range.

Ok, what you need is that BRC 500 kit, you will then own the biggest and smallest ktm's

Its a kick-butt build for sure... 👍 I love my 16 TE and its set up just the way I want it and does everything I want it to do... I don't love the idea of spending $10k+ and starting all over again. In your opinion, how long is too long to keep a hard use dirt bike going??

Great question. I don’t know that there is a “too long”. I guess when repairs cost more than a new one or you just Have to have the newer tech.

@@highlandcycles just don't break/wear out the frame I did hear a friend saying he only upgraded from his ktm 380 because of parts availability.

Nice bike, i don't think there is anything more to put on that bike, it's fully loaded !! I have a question about the Brembo style clutch on the KTMs, i find that my clutch adjuster screw on the lever must be turned all the way out (lever is in the farthest position) otherwise it is dragging, is this a KTM thing or do i need to take a look at my clutch ? Thank you for all the awesome info btw !

Thanks. I’d take a look at your clutch. Might have some notches in the basket or slightly warped plates. Or it might need to be bled.

I would upgrade the strokes. Like, maybe 6 strokes. That would be fun, but probably sound weird.

Have you ever tried the 300 SXS CDI from Slavens? I got a great deal on an S3 Head/CDI for $200 brand new. I haven't installed it yet as I'm rebuilding my entire bike this winter (can't wait till spring!). I was convinced to buy that (because of the great deal) over buying just the RK Tek Head (what I really wanted).. Hope I made the right choice! Also, should I powder coat my frame black or orange? It's currently white (TX frame converted to XCW). I really can't decide lol.

I have the CDI on my bike. I did the 300 sxs kit when I made it a 300. You will like the S3 head. It’s higher compression which is good. That’s all it is where the RK has a lot more to it. But for the money you are going to be stoked

Fork lug protector thingys is about all is see that's not covered if your a big rock guy.

How long are yall able to run the nitro mouses. My front has lasted the 2nd half of last season and still seems fine. Very impressed.

Save your old mousse and stuff extra inside as it wears. I've got a bunch of old mousses and I'm able to keep stuffing them and get so much life out of them.

Why did you change over to the keihin carb and not leave it stock with a jd jet kit, or go with the lectron?

I like the Kehin better than both of those. It’s a cleaner running carb than the mikuni and more snap than the Lectron.

How fast with 14-50 !? My 2021 250xc goes fast enough or maybe too fast with 13-51.

Not sure what top speed is but I like being able to use 1st now. Before, it was just too low, even in the really hard stuff.
