It just doesn’t work that way.

"Sometimes you have to do shiznit to figure out the work you don't want to do." --> this is totally the conclusion I came to a while back and am in the middle of figuring out. Thanks for this. Get busy working, selling and figure it out as you go.

I’ve been working to productize one of our services for about a year. It gets better and better, but it is ongoing. So while this isn’t a new concept to me, I felt like this was a very thoughtful, very well organized encapsulation. I found it very helpful and validating. Thank you.

great advice, I needed to hear that. I have some experience in web design and general design but see allot of opportunity in content repurposing, SEO backlinks and Instagram content. Gonna have to do some research and just pick something.

It's funny, I was just thinking to myself, that I have heard this message from you for nearly 3 years now, and I know what needs to be done. I had a big gap in productivity in my business between the end of 2018 up until now, pretty much. Life and personal things hit really hard (my girlfriends kid was diagnosed with brain cancer) and I had to take a step away, for a long while. Before this long break, I was working on The Five 1's, and working to productize, as you were just starting to really hammer the message home. Well, now, almost 2 whole years later, I am back at building my business, watching your content again, and was thinking that most of your videos are starting to sound the same TO ME, meaning there isn't much more you can offer at this point, because I just HAVE to do the work now. Then I click on this video and it literally IS the message I needed to hear to confirm that lol. Sammi S.-

@@gregoryjhickman I have very little finances to work with, no clients, and am wearing all of the hats. I would say, the biggest challenge, is overcoming overwhelm, because funding can be raised, clients can be obtained, but I KNOW that I will inevitably face overwhelm before my systems are in place. The funding issue though, I feel will stall things because I am not sure where to put it just yet. If I have very little cashflow to work with, this means I've got to find the best "all-in-one" tool(s) that I can find, in order to get results for the client and not go broke before getting them results lol so, I guess this also leads to a pricing issue. Being stagnant for 2 years would make any prospect not want to pay for my services up front. Haha, long winded reply, for sure, but you asked!

@@gregoryjhickman everything that falls under the label of "business owner." Holding meetings, prospecting, networking, learning, trying to create what systems I can at this stage...

I have to draft a proposal for a prospect that I met with this past week. I am trying to systematize what I can for now, based on working closest to the money, as you suggested. I know I have some systems I can create now, and am trying to figure that out.

Exactly...that's where I am...doing the "shiznit" for now to find out what is working, what isn't, what I want and don't want to do. Otherwise, like you said...it's just theory. I was trying to say this exact scenario to someone the other day about where my business is at the moment. I'm ok with it because I know it's just temporary and I'm already starting to see small glimmers of direction, which is awesome. But I still have much more "shiznit" to go through to get a really good idea. Great episode, thanks, Greg!

Good advice, but how do you find clients to work with? I have a pretty good idea of what I can productize, but I'm stuck with speaking with actual prospects.

Content, ads, outreach. If you’re having trouble speaking with them the ideal client probably isn’t specific enough.
