My mom used to journal and I have all of her old ones when she passed. Something I truly treasure! She would keep one to write her everyday thoughts in and another to attach pictures of loved ones in and would write important facts about them. I haven't written in a journal in YEARS! I definitely plan to start again! Great channel!

I have journaled a very, very long time. I use standard, spiral, 200 page notebooks. Nope, they aren't fancy. But it's what I've used & it works well for me. I have 45 of them so far. Journaling is highly personal & individual. There are no Journal Police. You won't be judged or graded. I highly recommend writing by hand. Our emotions show thru our handwriting & our handwriting changes as we age. It's interesting to observe both. I don't put anything in mine. I just write. I don't embellish them in any way, don't tuck in any mementos. I chronicle my life. Funny things our dog or cats do, funny things that happen to us, things that annoy me, mundane & huge things.....just what comes to my mind....I write it down. I always put the day of the week, date, & time. I don't limit myself to 1 page a day. I write until I've written all I have to write whether that's a couple lines or 10 pages.....doesn't matter. I have always used blue ink. I prefer blue. I love the color blue ! I use a Paper Mate Ink Joy ballpoint.I've never liked the feel of a gel pen....that's the choice of my husband, tho. I think maybe I should branch out & add more colors, tho. Just recently I bought Paper Mate Ink Joy pens in 10 colors. I'm such a sucker for stationary supplies in general ! Carrie makes some very valid points about journaling.

Tip from a journaling person and someone who does art all the time. If you use colored pen in your journal, it will fade or smudge in your journal over time. What I’ve found that works to preserve it is matte mod Podge, it’ll preserve your art. I’ve made art five years ago and the mod podge has preserved it all this time. Thanks to Moriah Elizabeth, where I’ve gotten the idea from.

I am literally sooo picky when it comes to journals.....my mom said that I should buy many "notebooks" at one time, but buying a new beautiful journal after you finish your earlier one is such a special and wonderful feeling....

I usually get journals from Dollarama even though they can break easily, I like them because they have nice designs and I use a ball point black pen. And sometimes colourful ball point pens for emotions and you gave me an idea to tape pics I'm them. Thank you!😊

Yeah, when I tape things in my journal, it does feel like the pages are growing or becoming very thick...I get what you're saying Carrie....I personally prefer bound journals rather than spiral.....anyway, your videos are AMAZING and I LOVE JOURNALING !!

i started journaling about 3 weeks ago, and i only use a pocketsize notebook,so i dont feel stress to write every pages and only black pen. but,only 3 weeks i have use 2 notebook, today i need to buy more😂😂,please make more journaling video,j love your video and editing style❤️❤️❤️

That gray non-spiral one, that is the journal I use for song writing/poetry and some bullet-journaling. I got it for my birthday one year and it’s held up!

my first diary that im filling out is 6 x 9, and its a peter pauper notebook. its not spiral, but i think its composition, and its pretty. i write with a cherry smencil. i fill it out whenever.

I journal in composition books that I have re-covered! Love them! Where do you get your journal prompts? Mine are in a green journal and and I add to them frequently. Thank you for your awesome videos!

My favorite pen to use in my journal is a Zebra Sarasa Push Clip Gel Pen. I absolutely LOVE these pens! The ink is so smooth and vibrant, and it has a really cool binder clip.

10:57 I usually use Super Tips from Crayola, the pens are like, from office max they are called gel pen from 0.7 something like that, also i use broadway crayola markers and from the "bullet journal" I use a common non-spiral notebook with blank pages and it's super cool. I mean, I don't have the money to buy a journal from dot pages and all that but I'm happy with the things I have :) Also love your vid haha

I kind of like big notebooks, because I do a lot of writing. If I didn't want to be to organized I would do a bunch of pages in a day. But, I want to be organized and like not have 7 pages of one day. Especially if I didn't have a lot of interesting information.

Personally I use Moleskine kind of journals for my tarot deck studies. I love using: pilot frixion pens (I hate crossing out, so I prefer being able to erase it and write over again), use stickers, gel pens, stabilo markers, stamps…. I like making little drawings, doodles (sometimes) In a regular journal anything goes, even collage. I need this total freedom to express myself, it’s MY journal right 😊 so everything is possible (except crossing out 😖, not me anyway, and spiral journals not either 😖)

the ones i use are the exceed brand. they sell them at my Walmart and they are pretty cheap but still good. i always get the black ones but sometimes i’ll paint them. the one i have right now i painted it green on one side and it’s black on the other. i just love decorating my journals.

Personally, I use a black Pentel EnerGel 0.5 tip, Papermate Inkjoy colored pens, and various notebooks from Amazon, Staples, Barnes & Noble, and Target. I'm currently working down a Michael Storrings cover-art square-ish shaped journal.

When it comes to journaling, I write one on my typewriter. I think it's one of the best ways to write a journal - everything is readable The main problem with my old notebook journals and diaries is that my handwriting is like XIX century maniscripts - pretty but unreadable. Yes, it's a bit of a fuss with sheets of printing paper when it comes to using a typewriter for that, but all in all you can tie them up together and put in a folder.

When I write my journal I write using glitter pens and put stickers and sometimes I draw with color pencils.

I have journaled for awhile and my current journal is spiral and came with its own pen which I loved! What I write in my diary is what I did that day or what is have to do the next day. But if it is like a reminder I write it in a color other than black so it is super visible and I can make sure to remember

I like to use the Z-grip retractable ballpoint pen and I get my journals from the dollar tree because journals at other stores are so expensive

I typically use a pencil for my journal. Mostly for the reason that you can rub stuff out but my trying to use more pen!

Journalling requirements for me: 1) No less than 80 ruled pages 2) Must be spiral bound 3) Must be cute What I Use: - Pens - Markers (Pentel Fine Liner and Desseres Fine Liner) - Scrapbooking paper - Construction paper - Washi Tape - Staples Clear Tape - Glue stick - Pencil Crayons - Stencils - Shaped hole punch - Stickers

A tip ive found is if you do have thin pages or your marker bleeds through and you wanna do a little doodling, you can slide a thicker piece of paper or a thin piece of cardboard from a cerial box under the page you're writing on. Then when its dry you can take the cardboard out and you save all the other pages! An important note in this situation is to not put marker on the other side of a page that allready has stuff written on it as this method wouldnt be able to save it.

I usually just use a notebook or a binder because it's affordable. then do only one side of each page because of the leak through. PSA you don't have to be rich to journal

i always use flair pens the reason i love them is because there so soft and i right so much better with them in class all the girls ask to use my pens
