How about a conceptual mix of Trek and "Sliders"? A ship pops from one parallel universe to another trying to get home. The nice thing about this idea is that all the canon nuts would be helpless because every episode would take place in a different universe.

It's already established that Star Trek has alternate universes and branching timelines; so, a "what if" sort of idea could fit right in. Maybe call it Star Trek: Parallels. (And, eventually, we could get a series named after every episode of TNG S7 😉)

Prefably without that intro song, please! I want 3 more seasons of "Enterprise". It would take a series to cover: the Romulan War, the beginning of the Federation, and a better conclusion than that holoprogramme screwed up in the 4th season. The explanation that Trip faked his death to undergo a new mission in order to infiltrate the Romulans should be covered. Older stories revisited and new stories could be offered as well. Manny Coto's story about T'Pol discovering that her father was a Romulan should be a story too. I hears that Jolene Blalock and John Billingsley might not want to do another series. I wonder how they could cover all 3 stories w/o truncating the 3 deserved series in a 2 hr. movie. Maybe, writers could conclude these stories in more novels-like "The Romulan Wars" and "Rise of the Federation".
@heartoffire5902

@@virginiaconnor8350 Animated series would probably be the best answer. Especially since Billingsley hated going through putting the makeup on, as well as the long hours with it on. I'd love to see a small series of her before the events of "The Tholian Web", utilizing stories that could be found in vintage issues of Weird Tales. I've always thought given what we've seen onscreen she may have had far more bizarre adventures than the 1701 encountered. Maybe commanded by a Captain Serling just for another "classic" nod? Fantastic news on reaching 250k subscribers. Love all the work and effort you'll put in. For me, a show which doesn't follow Star Fleet or the Federation. See the universe from the eyes of another species. My example would be to have a first contact encounter in episode 1 where their culture is introduced to a wider community. Similar to Strange New Worlds episode 1 but have it mirror our own society. And just follow people learning and adapting to lessons, technology and aliens. From politics to sciences, it can reveal the slow process of how a world adapts to finding out they are not alone.

We could see familiar events, characters etc. But, we could see different versions, like "What if all the Siskos were killed at Wolf 359?" They actually did bring up augments in Picard. During the Mars incident it was mentioned, but just a passing comment that let you know it was still a thing, but that doesn't mean Bashir's case didn't change people's perspective on it. I felt the movie perfectly set that up, especially with the "hero shot" of the Excelsior bridge crew near the end. Also, when I first heard of "Below Decks", I was hoping it would be about a group of the enlisted crew, not junior officers. We never saw enough of the enlisted ranks in any of the series, and being retired enlisted Army, I definitely know that there is great potential in seeing the lives of the enlisted below the rank of Chief. As for Steve Shives' selection of "Wagon Train to the Stars", that was Battlestar Galactica.

Investigate, explore and solve a real mystery... the burn can continue to DIAF. Oh and I remembered my pitch for a political drama about joining the Federation of a society that the majority wants in the Federation but a vocal few make it hard.

With the success of Strange New Worlds as "what TOS was trying to do", what about a second shot at Voyager, but getting it right this time? A ship far away from Federation, a fish out of water, all alone... but this time for real. A ship and crew that adapts to the new situation and develops instead of getting reset after episode. A completely foreign environment, with actual aliens, not just basically humans who just haven't seen federation technology yet. A story line about actively trying to get home instead of just cruising along and see what happens. An epic journey that changes everyone involved and greatly enriches federation when they return, both with new perspectives and new technology. Basically a show about adapting, not about returning to status quo. There's a lot of untapped potential.

First, CONGRATS!! 🖖 I subscribed back when it was around 40,000 subs, so I've seen this channel and its team grow by leaps and bounds... and it's been a great ride! Sean, yer ma fav, mister! As for a new show, a Season 5 Enterprise is pretty much a gimmie. But along with that ('cause we know they can produce more than 1 at a time), I LOVE, LOVE Jessie's idea for a Political Drama kinda like The West Wing or Designated Survivor. OMG, there is SO much you could do with that format!! You could base it at SF HQ so you could also incorporate elements of Brie & Tom's "Academy" concept. Toss in a heavy dose of Section 31 and a dash of the Time Police and the scripts almost write themselves! Keep Trekking People! 🧡

Congratulations on reaching a 1/4 million subs! I want to see someone remake TOS episodes with precisely the same scripts but with (obviously) new actors and up-to-date effects, maybe the bridge from Strange New Worlds. Nobody will ever do that, so I'd settle for a movie: "Star Trek: The Crushers."

Congrats on 250K - on to 500K!! ST has such a rich library of books already; I've wondered why more hasn't been done with any of them, even as standalone movies or mini series.

Part two… Alternatively, I have another idea for a novel, similar to Steve Shives idea... a small fleet of ships exploring the Delta Quadrant (post Dominion war), with the aim of setting-up a colony there (not the first colony, though). Or... another idea I have is based on archaeology, focused on a ship operated by the Federation Archaeology Branch (needs a better name) researching ancient artefacts from lost cultures in Federation and Klingon space, or maybe in the Delta Quadrant. Maybe, their investigations releases a plague, and their main story arc is to discover a cure (kind of like B5’s Crusade, but in a Star Trek setting).

You got my subscribe for that singing Trek's most beloved of intro songs. What Trek show would I want made? Hrm. I guess I could cheat and say that an adaption of my Trek tabletop campaign? It ran for four years and my friends still make references. Even if there was a series with elements of that game I'd be pretty stoked. Stuff like having a Klingon ship counselor, an Andorian tactical officer, a truly depraved human engineer, and of course my Romulan sleeper agent captain. Or maybe I'd just love a colony based show, which is something I'd honestly love and seems the most realistic. Congratulations for your channel growing!

My top 3 picks for a new Trek show--- -The Romulan War -The Lost Era focusing first on Capt. Sulu/Excelsior, then Capt. Harriman and whatever happened to the Enterprise-B, then Capt. Garrett and the C leading up to Narendra III. -a fifth season for Enterprise, which would lead into the Romulan War series, which would in some sense be a continuation of Enterprise, but would have a much wider scope involving several ships and their crews, on both sides of the conflict: Earth, Vulcan Andorian, Tellarite, and Romulan.

They missed a beat when they didn't do a series about the Klingons rebuilding after the Dominion War, starring Worf and Martok. Another dream series I'd like to see them attempt would be a prequel series based upon Enabran Tain, Elim Garak and their earlier days in The Obsidian Order. Just what was the business between Garak, Dukat and the Arms Dealers that Tain mentioned? All this and much more on this week's episode of The Cardassians!

Congratulations!!! Loved the video. My vote is for a lost era show. Perhaps not set on an enterprise or ship even but another Starbase. I'm thinking it could be large enough in the time period to see the transition from the beautiful movie designs to the beginnings of the TNG aesthetic, time for the New Orleans and similar era to appear in full.

Congratulations to all of you! ❤ I'd love to see a show that looks at the same timespan of, maybe, a decade or 2 post TNG. Let's have a crew that isn't mostly human, especially a non-human captain. Love to see another focus on a science vessel as well. Thanks for all the great videos!
