As a Dawg fan i hope he coaches Florida forever!

I'm actually glad Spurrier (my guy) said what he said cuz they do need to tighten up from top to bottom and there is no accountability in Gainesville regarding the football program! And I also wondered why Napier doesn't reach out to Spurrier for advice? 🤷

Even though I'm a Tennessee fan, I liked Steve Spurrier and thought he was a great coach. He was also really funny! I was surprised at the Napier hire, and this isn't really surprising. Something came to the surface during Dan Mullin's last year, and I don't know what it was. Whatever it was, still lingers!

Dude, Billy has had every opportunity to get out infront of all his shortcomings, but he doesn't share or let anyone know the direction of the program. Ball Coach has every right to speak on the situation there. He's speaks what 90 percent of the fans feel.

For Napier just to have the same record after three seasons as Ron Zook, who was fired by the Gators, he'd have to go 12-1 in 2024. Let that sink in.

The 'HBC' didn't have to deal with the 'Transfer Portal' and 'NIL' from day 1 as Billy has. It's a different era. Go Gators!

If you can’t take the heat, get out the kitchen Spurrier is a legend and nothing that he said was false Napier took the job knowing it’s UF and not Louisiana. He makes 7.8 mill a year. He needs to live with Spurrier’s comments bc they aren’t false nor spoken in a way to hurt Napier, rather constructive criticism.

Two years of inconsistency on the staff and field is where we’re at. I think this is a way to send a message to Napier either you fix it or you’re gone. There wasn’t improvement on the field and losing good players has only fueled that fire further.

People typically voice their complaints internally first, and when they are not heard internally, out of frustration, they will say them externally. That’s a little alarming, that you have Steve Spurrier likely making suggestions internally, and them going ignored.

If Spurrier were just a fan, his comments were appropriate. But, coming from a guy who is still an employee of the athletic department, the comments are totally inappropriate. Translation: Napier ain't the guy. He ain't cutting it. He's gone.

The problem lies with the AD. The inside absolutel fact is Scott agreed to a ridiculous buyout that everyone knows locks Billy in for 6 years.

Laughable and pitiful. Florida is (and has been for the past 50 years) the third-best program in the state. Both Miami and FSU have out-performed them over that period of time. Even hood ornament Spurrier went 5-10-1 against them.

For everyone asking for LK what has he done to make you think he’s a great coach? Be trash in the pros, avg at USC and avg at ole miss.

Napier is out of his league. A Mississippi State grad AD treats Florida like MSU. UF has demanding and spoiled alumni. And the state Florida has 4 big markets- Jax , Tampa, Orlando and Miami. Don’t bring in a prodigy. Bring in a proven Coach. Not a SW Louisiana coach but a big time coach. Gator Nation wants this. AD Scott Stricklin has to go and so does Napier.

Georgia has been poaching guys for awhile now. No hate, they are just better and guys want to win. They took our #1 WR from us last year Dom Lovett. They may have beat us in Athens last year but one year later and we have a much better receiver room than Georgia. Things can change quick, UF gave us as good of a game as Ohio State. They are a couple right moves away from being back to prominence. Kind of glad we get to avoid them every year not being in the east anymore. #MIZ #NWO

Spurrier is just saying what everyone else is thinking. Napier’s football product is not SEC quality. He’s in over his head, and he’s simply coaching for a buyout this season. The big brass at UF need to go out and get a proven BIG name HC like Lane Kiffin or Ryan Day next season, or UF will become more irrelevant than pre-Heupel Tennessee.

Bull 💩 it’s above time someone of heavy clout speak up about the deficiencies of Napier’s program. The HBC has the most clout with the Gator Nation and I’m glad he did.

I like spurrier. He should know better to keep this in-house. He's not really sure what he's thinking in publicizing his comments. It certainly doesn't help the program. If he wants to coach, maybe he should come out of retirement. If not, keep it in-house.

It seems odd to me that Spurrier , one of the greatest offensive coaches ever, has not been brought in for any type of advice. I know, defense is the biggest problem, but if I am Billy I would have knocked on Steve’s door long ago and asked…hey HBC, how about some advice ? Has Billy’s ego been too big to ask ? Spurrier is right down the hall, right ? Lord knows he better get some help fast, from somewhere.
