Or just look at their license plate if it says (state abbreviation, Exempt) that’s an unmarked. Fed cars is another story

Where I used to live, the "stealthy" unmarked cars still have the pushbars on, their wheels are the same as the police cars, they are weird colors for example the car can just be white but for some reason it looks suspicious but still though you can see the dashboard lights and they even have police stickers on the back, not to mention that they still have the wall between the back and the front, they're still wearing their uniform, the computer is obvious and yes it was an unmarked car because it would be a just blank color and they're just sitting there in neighborhoods just watching... And this was in NF&L we don't have unmarked cars here, the city or town, I'm pretty sure even the mayor is confused where it is a city or town but the place that I was in didn't even have swat. And yes parts of that city/town were dangerous, I remember that near where I lived a corner icecream store that got robbed and there was kidnappers in the city/town and I mean alot of them, like every week we would here stories that idk if they were true but there were so many suvs and vans just kidnapping kids, btw when all of this happened idk why but the amber alert system wasn't working so we didn't get any alerts, if your wondering why I am writing such a long paragraph not is because I just finished an assignment where I had to write 250 word paragraph on the battles on the plains of Abraham in Canada so I'm still subconsciously writing really long sentences and paragraphs

Is police work for everyone? Because I want to be a cop after I'm done with high school but I'm worried if I won't enjoy what I'll do

Being a cop isn’t even in the top 10 most dangerous jobs in the US. I get your point but I think u are being alittle over dramatic. Trick is to become a cop in a smaller town. Not one in a huge city or somewhere in general that’s a shit hole place. Where I live I can name u so many towns that don’t have a single officer death.

@GBMAIN a small town officer once told me it’s just as dangerous but you have less if any backup… I do think more people should be cops

That's going to vary quite a bit depending on the agency. I've seen some that ride with full time guys and get into real police work and others that are treated like glorified traffic cones.

That doesn’t mean as soon as someone says something to you in a way you don’t agree with that you start immediately start insulting them because now days some people think you are trying to insult them or trying to make a joke out of them ! Jah Don My list would be too long to type. But ill give you a few. The hours, the changing schedules, dealing with garbage people, reports, dealing with micro manager lieutenants, and captains. Death investigations, tons of forms to fill out. Having to take bullshit calls and do reports on them. Short staffed always having to go to calls alone. Never having back up. Only job I can think of that you can be killed, sued, or arrested for making one mistake. Also the pay is terrible. And people from the outside looking in thinks your job is easy because they see you sitting in a parking lot for a couple hours. But they don't under stand we are typing reports between calls. I'm leaving alot out in this answer lol It was hard to quite tho. Takes alot of time to become a cop. You have to go through alot of bs...
