Taekook’s live didn’t feel like a live they could enjoy and express themselves in. I found it really sad that they had to act like strangers to each other on most parts of the live and I found it sad that taekook had to ask permission for everything they did or get told what to do so often in the live by what almost seemed like one thousand staff members. I feel like the staff where probably telling them to act like they haven’t seen each other for ages... I really just wonder why the staff where included in the live so often while literally In every other members lives the staffs don’t even interact much with them at all and everything is good and nOrMal. I honestly feel like we got fed with taekook good recently because big hit probably is starting to notice how suspicious it is that taekook is never really together at all, while everyone else can, so now they have no choice but to bring taekook spotlight but on their (staff’s)decision and give them reasons to be together with assigned activities to make it less risky of anything exposing really happening. I was ecstatic seeing Taekook doing a Vlive together, but also utterly heartbroken seeing how controlled and monitored they were. I joined the fandom in 2014 and can't help but reminisce about those "good old days" when there wasn’t this much staff hovering over Taekook. I used to wonder why BigHit didn't chose a better strategy dealing with this. Why not just show JK & Tae interact like “normal” human beings? That would surely demystify the whole thing. If nothing is going on, then what’s the harm in Taekook hanging out alone, chilling and having fun like “normal” bandmates? After seeing this Vlive, I realize they CAN’T. The company can’t give us that “normal, chill footage” and the boys can’t not be on guard around each other. It just isn’t a possibility. That’s why they had their hands full with making the carnations, because by having something to focus on, they are more likely to remove attention from each other. Having Taekook on-cam sitting there and just talking to each other freely, focusing only on one another for one whole hour, just wasn’t a possibility. Someone said this Vlive proves Taekook isn't romantically involved, since there wasn't any sexual tension, romantic vibe, etc. But looking at it logically, this Vlive proves exactly why Taekook isn't like any other duo in BTS. It isn't normal to be awkward or on guard around your bandmate and friend, who you've known for almost a decade. None of the other members are. And Taekook is evidently on guard. There's too much weird tension there, too much carefullness, too much thinking of what to say and how to sit, act, look at each other or avoid looking at each other. It’s like they’re holding their breath all the time. Like the tension/emotions almost have a physical presence. Some would say "oh, it's a Harry and Louis type of situation, they’re awkward around each other because the shipping has made them uncomfortable”, but this isn’t what being uncomfortable with a ship looks like. This is something entirely different. People need to stop claiming that BTS is uncomfortable with ships, when they’ve clearly shown otherwise. We see Yoongi & Hobi referring to themselves as “Sope” all the time. We see Jimin being touchy and “lovey-dovey” with JK and Tae. We see Jin & Namjoon joking how they’re the married parents. We see the maknae line being the biggest trolls (in the best way possible) when it comes to ship wars. They know about it, of course they do. And they continuously play along and make fun of the whole situation. For instance at the concert in November when Tae pushed JK towards Jimin so that he could serenade him, but then Tae grabbed JK’s arm and turned him towards himself so that JK would sing to him instead. And Jimin went and stood between them and looked angry, and Tae just went like “yay, I’ve won”. Those kind of things just show that they know about the ships and play along. They joke around and are more than fine with it. And then there’s Tae’s “get out of your imagination” comment, which people claim is him ending Taekook. But why do they purposely ignore how Tae & JK have acted since then? If Tae legit wanted people to stop shipping them, well… he hasn’t done a good job with keeping that consistency and hasn’t backed that statement up. After the comment we’ve seen Tae & JK being closer than ever, more open and not really keeping their distance. We’ve seen Tae writing on Weverse that JK is sleeping next to him. This doesn’t have to mean anything in itself; it could just mean that JK was sleeping next to him in a dressing room. But Tae isn’t stupid. He knows very well what kind of attention a comment like that will generate and how it can be interpreted. And he’s fine with that. If he wasn’t, he wouldn’t have written it. Even in this Vlive, you see them saying “Taekook” multiple times. They’re fine with ships. Bottom line, I feel like Taekook is the worst kept secret in the kpop industry. The K-media knows (Dispatch in particular), the companies know, the other idols know. It's kind of a "don't ask, don't tell" situation. I just hope they boys are happy off-cam and behind closed doors, whatever their relationship might be, because seeing them this monitored and on edge is just heartbreaking, in my opinion.

The entire live I could feel an awkward tension which is so unlike Taekook, since they're always very playful and fun. But it seemed like they were asked to be kept in check and thus they were calculating what to say and what to do. Perhaps this is the most awkward and disoriented I've seen them.

Wow....I am glad you mentioned how they kept on consulting the staff behind the scene. During the Live, I kept thinking, whether it was just me feeling it. They would laugh at something and then look at the staff immediately to make sure everything was okay. Also, they began the Live by seating so far apart, none of the other units did that. It was very very clear, that all of their actions were very closely regulated. These actions make the whole thing more suspicious. Also it was quite clear that they were trying really hard to not say something that would give away how close they were. But saying that I am so extremely happy that we got so much content. And I REALLY REALLY HOPE WE GET MORE.

If you rewatch the video from the start Jk started by saying "Today...." then Tae cut him "We can't be friends" then Jk laughed a bit and did a save by ignoring this comment from Tae and refocusing by saying "Today is Children's Day"... I think they were given so many warnings and restrictions before starting the Vlive and this thoroughly pissed Tae off hence his first comment was "Today we can't be friends" (I mean what an out of place and odd thing to say right?) This v-live exposes so much, as far as the staff and that’s probably why they don’t do lives with just each other. Let them alone, and their "awkwardness" will shine even brighter don't you think? (And we Taekookers have no one to blame for their "distantness" this time, right?) Bien, voy a comentar, aunque quizá nadie me entienda y ni quieran leer algo tan largo. Tengo sentimientos encontrados, porque sinceramente, nunca imaginé que los dejarían hacer una "v live" juntos, a decir verdad perdí las esperanzas, sin embargo ¿Soy la única que sintió la tensión? Jungkook y Taehyung independientemente de si son pareja o no, suelen ser cariñosos el uno con el otro y ni hablar de Tae, quien es mucho más juguetón con todos los miembros, aquí los dos se veían como si debieran interpretar un papel. Sentí pena, no es justo que intenten controlarlos para todo, antes que cualquier shipp, ellos son como familia, todos lo han dicho y es natural actuar de una forma más cercana, no obstante, los chicos se veían la mayor parte del tiempo incómodos, su lenguaje corporal estaba algo rígido y las constantes caras de Taehyung para dirigirse al Staff, me rompió el corazón y tal vez piensen que soy una maldita exagerada, pero esto no es normal, con los demás miembros casi ni se menten en sus decisiones, pero aquí, me daba la impresión de que robaban oxígeno.
