Her talk will go into lessons she learned through teaching over 10,000+ people quantum computing such as how no subject is too hard to learn and the importance of accessibility in STEM, all while connecting these lessons back to basic quantum computing concepts. Sanskriti Deva is an Indian-American quantum engineer and STEM accessibility activist currently studying computer engineering at North Carolina State University. At 17 she made history when she became the youngest elected official on the United Nations (UN) Association National Council on which she still serves, representing Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico.
As an emerging leader in quantum engineering, Sanskriti has already made her mark by educating over 10,000+ students from the elementary school to PhD level in quantum computing. Her dedication extends beyond the classroom, leading numerous initiatives to democratize STEM access, all earning her international recognition including a prestigious feature in Times Square and Lifetime Membership with the American Association of Sciences amongst other awards.
