I absolutely LOVE Ashley's face when she's being Fearne; she legitimately succeeds in taking on the uncanny innocence of a fey creature who only obliquely grasps the social mores of the mundane world...and is more than willing to ignore what she does know when the whim suits her.

If he has to go, my hope is that they spin off a series for their off week. Either something like ExU that's a set group that he's a part of, or a rotating cast from their pool of guests over the years. (The former would be better, since it would give a better story and have more potential for crossovers.)

@Kristopher Chavez I know they are some of the best DND players around but some things won’t feel natural. You should hear how unnatural a normal session is. My 3 players started off with on flirting with one, and another robbing the one being flirted with.and somehow it was “okay I’m sorry, let’s go hang at the festival together” in 30 seconds

@Kristopher Chavez it didn’t feel like that at all tho, it happened pretty early in the episode. It felt more like him taking a chance at downtime rather than worried they wouldn’t have anything to do. I think it would make sense if it felt like that midway or towards the end of the episode

I can see why it could seem like “forcing exposition,” and in a way, it was possibly meant to, a little. The starts of campaigns for can be painfully awkward sometimes, with players dancing between wanting to divulge into their carefully-thought-out backstory and not wanting their characters to be too chatty about it, since it’s personal. I IMMEDIATELY thought, “What an awesome way to get a bit of each players backstory!” Limit to one question, rolling makes it random, it just seems fun! And it’s essentially like 20 questions, which is legibly a good drinking game haha 😂

@@Mello8201 Sure, I was talking about how everyone slowly realized her link to the briarwoods when Laudna had her mental chat with Delilah Briarwood(most likely her warlock patron), their reactions were all so varied and was a treat to watch. I hope this helped clear things up!

I saw someone else saying that introducing the brother is probably the start of his exit. That he'll probably end up going home to deal with something. Hopefully not. My other thought is that he'll leave when they start doing the week off at the end of the month, and join an ExU style spin-off that they do in the off week. As much as I'd like him to stay, I'd be ok if it were something like that. Especially if they got some of their other past guests on. They have so many to pick from, if they can get that kind of commitment, they could easily do 2 or 3 spin-off series.

It cracks me up how Fearne is such a childish kleptomaniac. If she sees something she likes, she says she likes it, and if she gets caught trying to nick something, she immediately switches to her persuasive act to try and justify her actions, which has failed every time thus far.

Delilah Briarwood being Laudna’s patron has *so* many layers to it in my mind. Also, since the briarwoods are, ya know, EVIL AND DISGUSTING PEOPLE,.. There’s no way she doesn’t cause some trouble at some point. Especially since she literally killed laudna. My guess is at some point in the campaign something happens to where they gotta get rid of Delilah (THEY BETTER) so Orym’ all, “um, I have a friend who killed them the first time.” SO THEY GO SEE SOME VOX MACHINA MEMBERS?? Maybe I’m reaching because I really want it to happen

The Delilah/Laudna relationship makes me assume that Laudna's 'gifts' are just an unintended side-effect from the method of her death, creating some kind of connection to whatever echo of Delilah still lingers around. I very much doubt she even has the ability to take away Lauda's power and it's an empty threat, but you never know. Not that Laudna seems AT ALL concerned with doing what 'Dee' wants her to.

Talesin and Laura characters are in ABSOLUTE SINCRONY, they roll double nat 1's in rollies,both have 15 dex,than the double 17 in rollies again and at the end the double "oh no" react (in perfect sincrony) for FCG poring coffee.

I just realized that Fearne said she was also confused about the Ashari being the people who live in Zephrah. Which means that Fearne went to Zephrah. Met other members of the Ashai. Got sent with Orym on a mission from the leader of the Ashari - and she was still confused about that until that moment. lol.

I think that FCG made up Dancer and the other automatons. I think that FCG is an Aeormaton and they created the fantasy of Dancer and the others because they saw what the Somnovum did, and watched it all fall.

My speculation is that Laudna was a servant of the Whitestones when the Briarwoods showed up and slaughtered everyone, and when Delilah was killed in the final battle, her soul latched onto Laudna's body and rose her from the dead, considering Lady Briarwood was a necromancer.
