What the FIFA World Cup Tells Us About Qatar and the West.

The FIFA World Cup has begun and now the hosts, Qatar are being criticised for political, economic and cultural reasons. In particular, western media outlets have critcised Qatar for human right abuses, bribery in the bidding process, the inability to drink alcohol at games and Qatar having a limited football history.
The purpose of this video is to better understand these criticisms and the cultural divide between the West and the Arab world. You’re watching All Things Humanities

The only thing i found very interesting in this WC is that lgbt do not respect others’ beliefs and rules but they want us to respect theirs… like fr look at those who tryna enter the stadium with their lgbt flag, they’ve all been cancelled and I really respect Qatar for that

Please put this in proper perspective: Qatar bribed their way into hosting the World Cup because they wanted to showcase themselves to the rest of the world (west). They assured us that they would relax their strict policies to accommodate the athletes and fans while the games were happening. Then they "changed their minds" at the last minute, once it was too late for everyone to cancel. Well, they showcased themselves alright. I cannot imagine western people and businesses will trust them in the future. Just goes to show you money can't buy friendship! Good luck in the future Qatar!

@@BSU55 all people in the world think what they believe is True for exemple muslim countries they believe in quran justice and they dont need false human rights of the europians to judge them and also coming to muslim countries and give them léssons like ur the only philosopher of the centurie

@@BSU55 im not iranien u should go ask them ? But Why do you want to make the exceptional the rule? Exceptional matters in sex should not be promoted. No one denies that they do not exist, and people do What they want when the doors locked but their nature is the exception. Muslim societies keep them as an exception and do not defame them because their nature is like that, but the West inverts logic and makes anything abnormal the rule under the banner of human rights.

@@allthingshumanities5328 Most Enlightenment philosophers were still very religious and spiritual. Maybe you're referring to the libertines? But the Enlightenment philosophers were not libertines, they were libertarians. Do you know the difference?

Can't help but notice you used a slide of the world map in colors showing the distribution of countries by religion, which marks Israel as a Muslim country. At the end of 2021, the Muslim population of Israel was estimated at 1.707 million (which only accounts for 18.1% of all residents).
