You would be doing a lot better if you got rid of half your bench and your entire front half(plus the tall dutchman). Klopp players better with quick asymmetrical players of which there are basically none at Liverpool. He should have gotten rid of most of the club his first two years instead he decided to keep them even though they're all terrible and were the main reason the club did so poorly before he came. Tactics are great and all but if you don't have players you're screwed. Buy a bunch of italians and some eastern euros for the back line and watch the club shoot back to the top

I really don't think that's a major factor in United's demise post-Ferguson. If we made a list of issues, that would be low down. The main issues are that when Ferguson retired he left an ageing squad that needed major reinvestment. Keep in mind that United (in comparison to their turnover) were spending nowhere near what City had been for years. Just looking at from 2008-2011 City spent about £350m more than United. Keep in mind the market then was nowhere near as inflated as it is now, e.g. Aguero at £37m was considered very expensive. So, £350m in greater expenditure in 4 seasons was enough for City close the gap and buy pretty much an entirely new quality squad. Also, post-Ferguson, there are 2 main issues: spending big on very average players - look at the transfers under LVG and it's laughable how much money was wasted. The second issue was arguably just as big, in that United sacked their managers every few seasons, so there was no consistency in the footballing philosophy and hence transfers, which meant that a player a previous manager wanted was no longer desired by the new manager. E.g. before Ferguson retired he'd convinced Thiago to join United, but Moyes joined and pulled the plug, whilst Moyes convinced Kroos to join United (Kroos has admitted to being very close to joining) but Moyes got sacked and LVG pulled the plug and signed Herrera instead which was a club signing and not one LVG necessarily wanted. Mourinho then joined and wanted United to overspend on ageing players, and Woodward pulled the plug and underinvested after Mourinho impressed after his first season. Although, I think since Ole joined United's transfer approach, as well as general management and club morale has improved significantly and I expect United to be properly challenging the best in 2023 (United still need another few transfer windows to compete at the highest level but the gap has closed significantly this past 2 years).

He was competing with rashford and martial for the left midfield role. So im glad he's doing great at west ham. Even rashford and martial would've tsken west ham's season by storm if they went there.
