I just about lost my marbles hearing that Ben Diskin, the voice actor for my comfort character, Lemres, in Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 and 2, was involved in this. I still think about how one of my friends met him at Anthrocon a few years back, still jealous to this day.

The butterfly part isn’t factually correct. She turns into a monarch butterfly, and they are poisonous to consume, and birds already know this! So the idea that the bird tries to eat her is just incorrect.

This movie feels like a school project that you had too big plans for that you thought you could co but couldn't and then panic when you realize you forgot to put the actually important stuff in it (AKA the horribly animated story sequence) and then scramble to put it in the project last minute.

This movie does have potential. The character designs look like a mobile game, but it's fine. I've seen worse. Just at least make them change clothes. For the plot... What if the robot that brings Aura to Apple Valley breaks down and someone finds her and takes her in? She raises Aura to be a strong young lady who's taller than everyone around her. Aura even has to duck when going inside her home. Yet she's a great inventor and makes contraptions to help the villagers. While walking through the woods, she finds the robot broken down and brings it back to repair it. She gets it repaired and it becomes her friend. Just a day later, she receives a letter that's basically an acceptance letter to the school. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity so she takes it, but the robot is against it. She meets Don (fake Ron) and he's a jerk at first. She arrives at the school and Don is her roommate of course for plot. She attends classes and does regular magic stuff. Professor Crepe is a jerk and Headmaster Frank isn't. Also Frank turns out to be her uncle and puts her on the best track to embrace her magic powers. Yet the robot keeps telling her Frank is bad news but she doesn't listen. Anyway Aura and Don get closer and start to notice strange things about the school. They find the cage dude and the whole plot is put together like a puzzle that gradually figured out so when the backstory is told it's like an "ooooooh!" Moment. Anyway the guy that got the key hides it in Aura to keep it safe but Frank catches wind of it and kills Aura's parents and stuff to get to it. But the robot takes Aura far away. Aura's the other key and that's why Frank wanted her so bad. Frank kills the robot and turns everyone including her to stone and Crepe frees her. It turns out he's actually her uncle and was mean so he could scare her away to keep her safe. The evil battle ensues and Aura uses a mix of magic and her inventing abilities and defeats him with the help of Don and Crepe. Crepe becomes headmaster instead and actually does a good job and Aura helps improve the school with her inventions

Also relevantly, you can hear a piano in addition to all the other missing instruments. Fun fact, in my current dnd campaign i made a tabaxi named timantha. It was going to be an inside joke since last time i was 1304, or boy, and the dm mentioned how hard it was to remember if my character was a guy or girl. But now it's devolved into another joke which is every time i introduce myself i'll say "my name is timantha but some call me....tim". My intent is next time i introduce my character, she makes an explosion happen. Toss a little oil, a little produce flame, and tada, reference.
