Q: Where is your accent from?
A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.

A: I worked in Marketing and PR but I now focus on my vlog full time.

A: I have been married to Matt for since 2009, he is the love of my life! We have three sons - Fraser (born 2010), Caleb (born 2013) and Jackson (born in 2016).

A: I film my videos with the Canon G7X and a Canon EOS M50.
Q: What lighting do you use?
A: I use natural lighting 90% of the time and a softbox light during the winter / dark evenings.

I love how you don’t shy them away from girls toys. It’s a good thing, it teaches them that they don’t need to stick with stereotypes. At the end of the day, why should toys be labelled as ‘girl’ toys or ‘boy’ toys? Children can play with whatever toys they want to play with, without being discouraged by the colour or the gender of the children shown on the box. I really respect you for this.

I agree. I was just discussing this with my husband. We plan to have another child one day and while many of my daughters toys are toys that are marketed as boy toys and some are marketed as boy toys. In our house toys are toys. She plays with them all. Many of her "girl" toys like a baby changing station are good practice and pretend play for boys and girls alike.

I've always been the same. My boys had baby doll prams when they were little which they would push their teddies to the shops in and my little girls have dinosaurs, cars, pirates all sorts of toys. I dont stereo type. When I was little I was always climbing in trees and played with cars, action men and dolls and barbies. I was the happiest

I couldn't agree more Elsie. Matt and I are so glad we get to bring up children in todays world. It's 2019 and we wouldn't have it any other way! Don't get me wrong many still need to change their attitudes but it was so much worse when we were growing up! Thank you so much for watching xx

My boys love them. I think now screens and technology are part of every day life so they are not real fun, they love traditional toys, it's so sweet to see and natural. Thank you so much for watching Ella xx

I like how you don't spoil them with presents. You see some KZfaqrs really going over the top with hundreds of presents so I like that you stick to a certain amount. Your kids are going to grow up really knowing value and manners 💞

Emily - so loving that you get the boys what they WANT, and don’t fall into the ‘that’s a girls/boys toy - you can’t have that” trap. Your boys will grow up well rounded and able to think for themselves when you and Matt lead the way like this. My daughter (now all grown up) was told by her friend (who was a boy) parents that she should ‘play with his sister instead with the girls and the girls toys’ when she was at their house to play. It’s happened more than once and it’s just so sad. Good on you guys for doing the right thing and letting the boys choose their own toys and path ❤️👌🙌xx

I was browsing online to buy your planner. clicked on a review wedsite that had nothing but bad things to say about your channel and family. It made me mad to read clueless but hurtful comments. Same here, it disturbed me mentally for a week, still cant forget the cursing related to their career. How can be ppl so mean & jealous & justifying it too. I am a silent follower, watching her from year and a half, found her on KZfaq when my baby arrived in this world. I love taking tips from her from parenting to organizing home. What I liked best about the presents is that it's not Gender oriented ...my Boy likes playing with the doll house and even wants a little buggy I'm OK with that 😁😊🤗 it's important.

Zarah Qadir I love that too!! My family got my daughter a whole bunch of girly stuff which she loves too and we are very happy with :) but at the end of the day all she wanted was a hockey stick and a toy truck 😂

I love the different selection of gifts you got all of the boys. I got two of my children the Ryan's safe and didn't really think all that much about the contents, the safe is really good and they have played with them a lot. I did get a few other gifts similar to what you got too and my children are 7, 4, 2, 2. Great video

Amazing video Emily thank you so much very helpful for ideas! I love watching your videos with my kids and also without them haha they are absolutely amazing! My eldest son is turning 9 in April so the presents Fraser got will be a great help for that. I also got my two football loving boys the ball that counts your tricks which Fraser got for his birthday, I thought it was a great day so bought it after seeing the video haha,! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Norris family ! My eldest two stayed awake till 1:00 on Christmas Eve which wasn’t very helpful for Santa! Love your family so much from the UK ❤️🇬🇧

The Dribble Up ball sounds like a great idea and I think my son (who’s 9) would love it. It’s pretty expensive, though, so I’d love to hear what you (and Fraser!) think of it! x

I liked your vid, certainly gave me some ideas. Would you ever consider limiting the presents to a certain number? I am considering it, even though we can afford it, I want to de emphasize the importance of gifts.

Hi Fabiola. Yes it is something I have considered. To be honest, not that its the right thing to do, but I didn't get much at all as a kid, and dreamed of being the kid that got everything, so I kind of go Ott with mine as as a parent I personally want to create the childhood I never had. Also as they get older presents will get less and we will miss the days when they were young and Xmas had some real magic. We also teach our boys that there are so many children that are far less fortunate and we donate a lot of the their toys to charities throughout the year. Thank you so much for watching xx

I have five kids, they get four main presents each, a new outfit, a book each and stocking fillers, they're happy. I used to get two presents and stocking stuff, I never remember having a bad christmas because I didn't get heaps. I'm in NZ where there is more emphasis on less is more and the Something to wear read want need method, I see UK pages and the presents are to the roof and later most of them say their kids never play with them, some still in their boxes a year later 😏

@@keirajones5062 yeah, I just want to emphasize that more things, or in this case, presents, does not equal "happiness". It all stemmed from my son counting the amount of gift he got versus his brothers. He counted an electric guitar and amplifier as only one gift and seeing him do that made me feel like I am doing something wrong. I never really got much as a kid and I loved Christmas, the presents do not stand out in my memory. Then I saw that Sandra Bullock only gives her kids 3 gifts each so I am thinking that I need to change something because it is going the wrong direction for me.

Loved this video. We are going to Centre Parcs in March for my 30th and we have a 3 and 8 year old. We absolutely love it there. I do find that you have to be clever with spending as it can cost alot Haha xx

I always wondered how do people keep their children interested in their presents, every time my son get new toys(birthdays or Christmas), he would stay interested for about a day or two, then get bored and don’t touch them again. I feel like it doesn’t matter how many toys he gets at once, say 15 toys at once he will get bored of them all together very quickly, then they all go to waste.

The way I keep my son interested is that I dont give a lot of toys. I try a new toy out for a week or so but if he doesn't like it, I donate it. Get the most basic toys like dolls, cars, blocks, balls, etc. The more the kid can use their imagination with the, the more use they'll get out of them. Single use toys get boring really fast because there's only one thing the kid can do with them.
