Check your weather maps historical especially the winter maps look at Great Falls compared to choteau and then Missoula they can all be a mixture times three Missoula western gets more moisture, damp, more temperate when it comes to snowfall in the winter compared to Shoto kind of follows that same line unless the Chinook winds howl from north and then of course Great Falls has its own Plateau especially Gore Hill the airport. I've lived in all three of these towns and different times of the year. They have different temperatures maybe do a graph on that one because it's not like Cutbank or Wolf Creek in the extreme Northeast or Billings, trapped through another low mountain range and its own plateau like Great Falls Fun Enjoy
