for broody birds, you can let it sit in a bucket of cool water for an hour, then isolate it for a day. It will then stop.

We actually tried the cold water thing, though for less than a minute. I also wrote a blogpost about that some years ago. For whatever reason, it didn't work for them. Maybe not long enough though. Here is the blog post guidefreak.com/how-to-turn-off-broodiness-in-a-broody-hen/amp/

Very true. But it would take a long time before we can adopt that for commercial production in Nigeria. Land is expensive and funding is a miracle you don't see everyday
