You’ve completed 75 Hard. Now, what’s next?
It’s time for Phase 1 of Live Hard.
In this video, I go through my experience through Phase 1 of the year long Live Hard program created by Andy Frisella.
You know the requirements for 75 Hard, so now there are some additional requirements to take on in Phase 1.
In addition to performing everything required in 75 Hard, Phase 1 of Live Hard includes:
10 minutes of daily visualization
5:00 cold shower every day
Perform 3 critical tasks
*Phase 1 lasts 30 days.
Can’t wait to share the benefits of Phase One with you all!

Clear and helpful. I’m doing 75 hard now. This is the first presentation I’ve heard re the other phases. Been doing the daily cold shower for years so that won’t be new. The 3 critical tasks is where the gold will be for me.

Love to hear it. Yeah, I agree. The critical tasks are a game changer in terms of productivity. You cut out the noise and just get it done, whatever it takes. One of my favorite parts of the program. Keep working hard.

It is great to hear not only the feedback but also the looking forward with the 75Hard program. I will say, I’d be looking forward to getting back to the cold showers since you’ve explained the experience well! If you haven’t, I’d look into the training of Wim Hof, especially with cold showers, which made them a lot more tolerable and even more enjoyable. Thanks again for this!

Thanks @nick , great explanation. So between Phase 1 and Phase 2 there has to be a break of 30 days? Are you not allowed to do all the 75 days habbit in between? Would assume it would have become a habbit / lifestyle by then?
@NickTShelton
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
Good question, that is completely up to you. You can do the habits/requirements, but they don’t count toward your phase 2 Hope that helps!

The only one I’d have trouble with is the 5 minute cold shower, not becuz it’s cold, but becuz there’s no way I can wash everything that fast, my hair is long and thick and alone takes 15-20 mins to shampoo and cream rinse it. Plus, we women also shave many parts of our body, to include: legs, armpits, and bikini line. I usually take a warm shower, followed up with a cool shower, can u start off with a warm shower, then do the cold shower at the end?
@NickTShelton
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
I can totally see how that would be tough on ladies with all of the extra stuff to accomplish in the shower haha. There is technically no standard on how you start the cold shower as long as you get a consecutive 5:00 cold shower. So, in my humble opinion, I'd say it's fair game.

Nice video- something I’ve been thinking about - I started on Feb 1 finished 75 hard and immediately began phase 1 done with phase 1 now- if I start phase 2 in 30 days it will put me done with it before end of July - leaving me August September October November and December - 5 full months before I can start phase 3 to finish for the year- seems a bit stretched out .. any thoughts?
@NickTShelton
@NickTShelton 29 күн бұрын
Personally, I would give yourself a break in between. Part of the challenge in 75 hard is to build the muscle of getting knocked off track and being able to show back up. It’s good practice to give yourself some time after 75 Hard and then pick back up again for Phase 1

Hi Nick! Great video, thank you! I finshed 75 HARD in October and thought, ok, I'm done with that. Well now that it's been a few months and I realize I need to continue. Back to many of my old habbits. The critical task thing has me stumped. Does each day have to be new tasks? I'd like to do a 30 day yoga series, would that count as one each day? Spending more quality time with my horse, groom, just hanging out (rather than always work work, go go). Could that be a daily task each day? Thanks for any input! Elise
@NickTShelton
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
Hey Elise, I appreciate that! Good question - it doesn't necessarily have to be new tasks, but when something becomes a habit, it's time to move it off the list. For example, if stretching for 10 min every day isn't a habit for you, add it on there. But, when you do it for 14-21 days or so and it's built in, add a different task. Totally, if mindfulness is something you're trying to build into your life, add tasks that allow for that. Things like, spend 20 min quality time with your horse, meditate/breathwork for 10 min, or anything that busts you out of the day-to-day grind of work, work, work. Hope that helps!

For the 3 critical tasks, do you do the same tasks every day, or do you do a new set of 3 tasks each day?
@NickTShelton
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
Good question. It depends. Generally, it should be something different that constantly moves the needle forward in your life. If it is something that should be a habit, in other words, like going to the gym or drinking 1 gallon of water, those should already be in your daily routine, so don't treat those as a "task". But, maybe you're trying to implement a new aspect in that routine, like stretch for 10 minutes. Use that as a task so you don't forget to add it to your routine. Then, after a short time, it should already be baked in as a habit in the routine, so your task should be something else. Hope that helps.

Hey bud, this is very confusing. I had to go back and listen to Andy’s podcast but it’s just 3. So, your day is all of the 75 hard requirements, phase 1 requirements, and then your tasks are just 3 additional things. For someone like a content creator, it would be something like: -write 2 blogs -edit 2 videos -post 3 stories to social media Hope that makes sense!
