A very important topic that was not addressed is uninsured or underinsured motorists. This situation is a game changer.

My experience after have been driving for Uber for some months. Uber is a good thing for passengers and a illusion for drivers. Uber have low cost cars and drivers to please passengers. It s hard to explain but you will understand after driving for them.

uber should provide a rent car for a one week because if person says it is not their fault you probably have to go to court.

you should do a video which one will protect you more a accident a rental car vs your own car.

Dont forget to ask local businesses for any video coverage of an accident you were involved in. I was able to get one form a gas station with no issues. These videos prove valuable when fighting an incorrect/false claim of negligence.

I was in a terrible accident on may 1 I was injured seriously. I have 2 crushed discs in my neck and my breast implant was ripped from the impact so on leaking silicone in my body. My car was totaled. A uninsured, revoked driver's licenses and no tags jerk pulled in front of me as I was going 45 mph on my way to pick up a passenger. So, Uber told me that the $1,000 deductible is something you have to pay regardless of who's at fault. Does this sound correct to you? With other car insurance companies the one who pays the deductible is the one who's at fault.

What if you are leasing a car through Uber and you met all of Ubers required personal coverage, then got T boned, hospitalized and then denied coverage through personal insurance in Stage 1 or offline status? No passenger. Uber is hell to get through to. What happens to the lease car? Does Uber cover it?

How should I report this diffusion when I wasn’t at fault but the driver fled the scene before I could get any of their info. about 4 weeks ago my car had a collision with another car while i had a passenger in the car... i stopped on the driveway to let out my passenger and then a car started reversing all the way down his driveway, i honked my horn for 3 whole seconds before he crashed the back of his car into the side of my car... i was driving a rental car and the rental company just let it go like a shopping trolley ding. i went into the police station and they said because there is no damage and no injury it doenst need to be reported... i went into uber and they had me fill out a report which was lke 4 freaking pages long. in my city if you dont fill out the report within 48 hours your account get deactivated...

Ride-sharing companies are not providing a solid commercial insurance policy for drivers when you have to discuss in detail period 1 period 2 period 3 a driver is opening himself up for huge liability.. on the surface it seems as a Rideshare driver say he grosses $1,000 in a week he pays Uber $250 of that for using the app. If a driver opened up his own Rideshare company and had his own Rideshare commercial insurance policy he could get a commercial ride for hire policy for the $1,000 a month he's paying to Uber. Market your own Rideshare app with the existing clients you have and continue to market for more clients I don't see any reason to pay that 25% if you truly want to own your own business. I am just thinking out loud but what am I missing here? A simple application process to the TNC regulators is the only thing left to do.

Hey, I was recently involved in accident. I was currently offline on my lyft app. I called lyft the next day after I put in my claim with my insurance company. I had to send pictures of the damage, and lyft deactivated my account until I get my car fixed. A week later I got my car back, sent pictures and updated my inspection form. its been a few days already and no reply.
