I moved my kidney stone from my kidneys to my bladder by doing this: I drank as much warm water that I could in 10 minutes. Then I waited for 30 minutes and started jumping and stomping around. I know it's extremely painful, but trust me, it will actually relieve the pain once completed. I continued this on and off for a day and a half. The stomping and jumping, along with the force of a full bladder, will force the kidney stone to pass. It's like shooting a spit wad through a straw. I also drank beer. I don't care how bad beer is, it is a diuretic and will make you piss more. I am on day 3 and I haven't pissed out the stone, but I know it's in my badder right now. My kidneys or side no longer hurts. The jumping and stomping method really works, just take pain killers before you start it. I thought I'd pass along my advice because I know how miserable kidney stones can be, and people will try anything to relieve the pain.

I just passed my first stone, 6mm x 4mm, through my weenis after ~ 40 days. Initially I was vomiting and dry-heaving for 3 or 4 days as it was moving into my ureter, no doubt. No pain in my back, just on the right side of my abdomen until I would vomit / dry heave and had to walk around the house all night. Never having a stone before, and because there was no side or back pain, I was 100% positive it was food poisoning from a Panera Caesar salad. Boy was I wrong. An ultrasound & CT scan eventually confirmed a 6 x 4mm “terminal right ureteral obstructing calculus.” No real pain while actually passing it through the bladder or urethra though, just a weird discomfort when it initially blocked my stream, thank God. I really don’t want any more stones.

This is a good and concise video. I wish that I had my URS procedure done by her yesterday instead of the fellow who did it. Not happy with him or his team. Medicine is now an astute and pretty ruthless BUSINESS. No notion of service is a part of it. This is one reason and an imperative to take excellent care of one's health....so we never have to see doctors, or be at their mercy in the first place.

It's the most horrible pain possible. I don't wish it even on my enemy. I had a 14mm stone the first time I was passing one. It was the painfullest 12 hours of my LIFE. Now it's different I've been having some pain for 2 weeks now and I don't have any money to go to the Dr but I'm horrified it's getting worse, I don't want to feel like that again

I’ve has several kidney stones…..best to have pain meds and tamulosin on hand. As stated in the video, it can take weeks to pass a stone once it’s ‘ on the move’. I start taking the tamulosin and I just go about my daily routine and when I feel the pain is more than just a nuisance, i go directly home and take a pain medication …..for me , once the pain is really kicking in, the stone passes in 2-8 hrs. Going to the emergency room is the right thing to do if it’s your first stone , but after that it’s a waste of time/ money as they don’t really do much other than take a CAT scan and tell you what you already know….oh and I also try to drink lemon juice or apple cider vinegar

Everyone assumes you can’t have pain until the stone enters the ureter. I have a 1.2 cm stone that seems to not want to go anywhere, but is causing a great deal of flank pain. Maybe I’m an outlier or an anomaly, but I’m so tired of being dismissed and gaslighted without so much as a physical exam.

I was in the ER yesterday for over 6 hours. I had to wait over four hours in pain before they ran a CT scan. At age 64, it’s my first time ever having kidney stones. They are rare in women, but the physician’s assistant in the ER said she had never seen this … I have 3 stones and they are on both sides. On the right side I have a 4mm stone and on the left side I have two stones, one 2mm and the other 8mm. They sent me home with Oxycodone which hasn’t touched the pain! I feel like I’m going crazy with the pain. Of course, it happened going into the Christmas holiday weekend, so I can’t contact my urologist until Tuesday. I don’t know how I’m going to survive the non-stop pain for three more days!

The whole kidney journey is really funny. The medical field seems to be completely ignorant. There are nephrologists and urologists. I have gone to one who states you should go to the other. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Every time there is an image taken or tests the situation changes yet they want to make judgements based upon past information. It is expensive to have continual urine, blood, and imaging. Kidney issues are EXPENSIVE if you wish to consult the medical field. Also, everyone has a different opinion. The only consensus is on low oxalate foods. That's an extremely limited diet. In addition, if one follows such a regiment the body would not receive sufficient nutrition. Basically, doctors have no idea what they are doing regarding kidneys. In fact, it's all because of one factor. They never examine cause. Interestingly, at least they look at diet...which is great. However, why when one person consumes a high oxalate food and another does not the results are different. WELL...here's the fact. Much of this lies in the gut. This isn't fully researched or studied by it appears that probiotics help but - it may only be certain ones that individuals who get stones lack!!!! This is called getting to the cause for all you doctors who have spent 7 years in medical training before practice (what an apt word).
