My hearing aids won't KEEP a charge. I paid too much for them to only last 5 hours. Any suggestions?

the Starkey recharger is a piece of junk I have ordered an extra and it is no different even brand new.....they are SO HARD to get a contact to charge. Very frustrating issue ....we got a pair or battery operated for the many days the charger is just not in the mood to contact.
