What to do in Carvoeiro, Algarve!

Itinerary of what to see, do and visit in Carvoeiro, in Algarve. This village in the south of Portugal is surrounded by lovely beaches and beautiful caves, including the famous Benagil cave. We visited Benagil by boat and stand up paddle. We do wine tourism and stroll through Algar Seco cliff, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, with the famous "A Boneca", a rock formation that looks like a window to the sea! We also make sure to take advantage of the pool at Vale da Lapa Village Resort and the local vegan spa.

Hey Luli, Carvoeiro in Portuguese means someone who produces coal. ..The process is hard as it involves cutting trees, cutting the trees in midium pieces digging a hole, stuck the pieces in the hole, cover it with grass and soil, fire it and wait for 3 or 4 days. ..it's tough. ..my grand Pa used to do it. .so this place Carvoeiro is quite remarkably going back in the old days. ...aproveita aproveita viagem e cuide-se

Hello! Yeah, Carvoeiro in Portuguese means that, but it is not what it means in this village: "From historical records, the earliest settlement originated in the name Caboiere, an old name for a hamlet of fishermen from the Islamic-medieval period. For most of its history, fishing was the mainstay of the local economy." Anyway, the place is amazing and sooo beautiful! 😊
