he was only 42 years old, taken from home by Germans, in concentration camp #10 and shot at the death wall as a punishment for escaped prisoners, family got the wrong information from the SS office

totally agree that Kuchnia u Doroty is where you will get one of the best meals ever...i am going back to krakow in a few weeks and have purposely booked a hotel around the corner from there so i can eat there every night.....thank for information about Dziorawy kociol....and once upon a time in Kazimerz....both of those are right up my alley so i will definately be trying that we i go there. this time i will also be going out at night time as heard it is amazing

@@tikitube1 yes i’m actually flying off tomorrow!! it’s going to be my first time in europe :) doing amsterdam -> krakow -> berlin -> berchtesgaden!! your video was very helpful in capturing the essence of krakow for auschwitz, do you recommend the tour or is going by myself fine as well?

For Auschwitz we found it was nice to do as a tour because it is not close to Krakow and you will need to take a bus/taxi or rent a car and they set you up with a very knowledgeable tour guide ( our tour guide's grandfather unfortunately was in Auschwitz). It is totally possible to do on your own, just depends on what you prefer! We did the Salt Mines and Auschwitz in one trip, which was a long day, but easy to get them both done at the same time. Let us know if you have any more questions! We have spent a lot of time in Amsterdam, you will love it so much!!

Great video - full of diffrent things, very informative! ! One of the best I have seen in youtube! It is so great you took guided tour - it is the best way to quick learn some basic stuff before wandering alone. Greetings from Tricity in Poland :-) I am also a vegetarian (25 years already and I am over 40). Poland has a lot of vegetarian dishes and restaurants. And our capital Warsaw is among the 10 most vegan cities in the world

Hi! We stayed in an airbnb in the center of Old Town. It was very affordable and lovely. Unfortunately we don't have any hotel recommendations, but hope you find a great spot and enjoy your trip! :)

The chandeliers in Wieliczka are also made of salt. Each of the chandeliers consists of 2.5 thousand halite crystals, i.e. the purest salt.

How did you find the language barrier? Ordering food were you able to understand what it was you were ordering😂 I’m quite nervous about that. Great video I’m excited to go next month.

Hi! ☺️ English is very common in Krakow and was spoken everywhere we went and they had English translations on most menus. If we didn’t know what something was, they were very kind and explained. Also, we are vegetarian and they were very helpful and gave us so many choices! Every single thing we ate was so incredible! You will love your trip so much! 🥰

Hi! That's a fabulous question! We took out cash to use at bars, for street food and to tip our driver, etc but you could definitely get away with using card for mostly everything! :)

Hi! Ugh we've scoured the internet and our photos for the name and the same guy because he was so wonderful and we wanted to give him credit but can't find it anywhere. When you get there, you will see golf carts all around the city though. There are a few different companies. Hope this helps!
