I came here to get info for a friend. If I ever get a brain tumour I'll definitely be seeing Dr Raj. So passionate, empathetic and I love that he is empowering and treats patients as though they are intelligent

great video...wished I seen it before my crainotomies....noticed you were saying immunotherapy was experimental...I am in QLD (oz) and after resection and radiation for brain tumor (melanoma) I had 2 yrs keytruda which got rid of lung tumor....and am still here 5 yrs after initial shoulder resection....there was a cost in that there was some brain damage, which happened at the end (balance,spacial reasoning cognitive and memory,but getting through it)....excellent that you give this information.

Thanks for this. I've got a 4cm hyperintensity in my left temporal lobe and a 2cm cyst next to the left lateral ventricle, so I've been looking at what the future might bring. This has been a great resource.

currently have a ganglioma on my occipital lobe and i'm extremely scared i'll lose my vision, it's not cancerous but its affecting my vision a ton. Thanks for answering these questions!

I regret ever being taken to the hospital where my craniotomy was performed because I never had brain tumour but Blood clot on my left foot, now after craniotomy I have to live with stroke, seizures, total blindness in my right eye, and reduced mental activity all which I never had before the surgery, doctors are lifesavers but the Doctor Who treated me rendered me disabled

I just had a post-cranial middle fossa surgery to patch an encephalocele in the middle ear and semicircular canal dehiscence inner ear defect. I’m researching videos like this to figure out what’s happening with my recovery. The ENT surgeon says the numbness on the side of my face will subside in 2-3 months. I hope so because this is so uncomfortable. The neurosurgeon is only concerned that the removal of the bad temporal lobe tissue will stop the seizures. I believe some sort of mesh was used to patch the defects

@@ArsHaD-dg1gb hey there thanks for asking :) I’m recovering well. I’m still on anti-seizure meds as a precaution. The hardest part has been adjusting to a new lifestyle. The days of heavy lifting and backbreaking work are behind me. My doctor wants me to stick with less risky work. Still counting my blessings though. Things couldn’t have turned out better. I had two great surgeons and the love and support from friends and family. The incision site nerve damage is likely permanent. I can rub the side of my tongue onto my teeth and I feel it on the scar on my tragus. It’s the strangest sensation. Anyone experience something like this? It’s not a big deal considering the alternative, it’s just annoying. Everything else is going well. Trying to enjoy life and transition back into society. One day at a time :)
