Vinyl never dies even if everything digital is gone as long as there is vinyl and record players you can enjoy music. Simply timeless

But vinyl does die, if you play it 10-20 times it degrades. The bass is missing unless it’s 45rpm and you have a cutter who knows what he is doing - they are all gone. So it’s not timeless and if you care about sound it’s pointless

@@DeathtoallsnowflakesConsidering the music they’ve produced together and solo, they’ve hardly made a living doing it. They’ll be more than comfortable, as should anybody who’s had a long career & having been successive, whatever else people think of them, but I much doubt they’re doing this for a payday. People don’t make money out of record sales anymore anyway. Giving really big gigs is the way. And lots of people & bands don’t like that or cannot do that. Liam is one of very few artists who can hold an entire stadium in the palm of his hand. John won’t be in the slightest overwhelmed by any venue. He’ll just play, like he always does, or at least did. A cool dude.

mate. the roses made a few million each when they reunited!! Liam mad a few million from his second solo album and touring, that was not my point! look liam and john have known each other for a very long time, I really like the two released songs so far!! sometimes text is hard to deliver the meaning that is intended. I'm not saying they are doing it for the money! they are doing it for the high of playing live, I miss playing live so I know all too well. @@GT380man

It honestly just sounds fresh, exactly what was needed. Its a sound that is arguably more exciting than anything a temporary Oasis reunion could produce. I would only want to hear old tunes in that regard anyway. Kudos to the pair of them, they are going about it the right way. Just reminds me how much I miss real guitar driven music too. I hope it returns to prominence once again.

Id say that would be true for The Seahorses but the individual contributions from the 4 members of The Stone Roses were equally as special and crucial to what made them sound so good. Reni's drumming outrageous, Mani with numerous timeless and instantly recognisable bass lines and (despite sounding terrible live) Ian Browns recorded haunting vocals are perfectly suited to their tunes. Squires guitaring glues it all together.

I should have written *for me* Squire's was the absolute best thing about The Stone Roses. His solos are sublime. 'Good Times' and 'Love Spreads' to name but two examples. I agree about Mani and Reni, excellent drummer and bass player demonstrated particularly well in 'Daybreak'. Brown is the unmistakable voice of Stone Roses and on recorded albums he sounds good, however live .......

Good interview, but let’s not forget John and the Roses promised a third album. As a Roses fan, felt a bit letdown, not because of the broken promise, but more for what we missed out on with the Roses. Ultimately they should’ve churned out more albums. On the flip side, I appreciate the fact that I’ve seen them live aim their pomp.
