Hi Jon. A really good introduction to the best weekend of the year!! The tip about breakfast is a winner. Also planning your timing during the day to ensure you make best use of it!! See you soon mate!! My two " bodyguards" are really looking forward to looking after Janice and myself after last years meeting. But seriously, looking forward to catching up with friends old and new again. Thats the best part!!

I know what you mean about variation of prices when it comes to Zippos because online when buying a basic chrome Zippo in the uk you can typically pay anywhere from around £18.00 to £30.00 depending on the vendor and even came across one vendor trying to sell the outer case of a chrome lighter no internals For £16.00 an over the top price in my opinion i wish them good luck trying to sell a basic Chrome outercase at that price Buy the price for shear stupidity had to go to one Zippo vendor i saw online trying to sell cans of Zippo fuel for £1.000 a pop now they must have thought people are stupid

Yup, I feel the seller can sell their item for anything they want, it should be the responsibility of the buyer to know what they are buying. Lots of people think a plain chrome is worth $$$ because it’s 60 years old when in reality it’s maybe $5 lol

Thanks for the vids. I am just starting out in collecting old zippos. Question: If I send in a lighter to the zippo clinic to get a hinge repaired does that lower the value of the lighter. Should I just leave them in original condition?

Great question! As long as the Zippos is post 1950 generally anything that makes the Zippo look cleaner and function properly increase the value. Anything pre-1950 I would not sent in because those used different hinges/ barrels and Zippo only repairs with 5 barrel.
