Thanks for sharing your thoughts @nagallifa. We agree it would be great for there to be another English speaking community that was open to both genders (you’re free to create one! ☺️) To your point about discrimination, we appreciate that you might not realise there are many cultures in the world where women are excluded from participating in mixed gender classrooms, or even accessing education at all. By creating a space for women only, Hey Lady! is inclusive of all women from all cultures and religious beliefs. To your point about being feminist. Strictly speaking, no we don’t align ourselves with any political point of view, however Hey Lady! is a space where women can speak freely and openly without being spoken over, spoken for, or made to feel ashamed or intimidated or by those who seek to criticise rather than support and encourage them. If you know any women in your family or friends who could benefit from being empowered to communicate confidently in English, we’re sure they would love you to suggest they check out Hey Lady!.
