Once I had a job in Accounts Payable and I had to talk with a lot of suppliers but I suppose that to talk with costumer is more difficult however, in the training the person learns to deal with the costumers. I always learn something new with your videos Jess, Thank you. Best regards.

I am currently working at Dell Technologies too in my country as an inside sales and I am planning to come to Canada mid 2013 but I don't see much offerings in Canada for sales mostly technical positions. Any idea how often sales positions are offered? and great content btw 100% agree with what you said as it applies to other countries as well

Thanks for watching!! My recommendation is put on an alert on the Dell Careers page for sales positions because I believe they can come up at least monthly from my experience.

Sales jobs are offered when you are put through three rounds of interview. One for english competency and other whether you can engage ina conversation Usually prior sales or a college diploma is needed. Technical sales jobs are usually around bigger cities like Toronto and Vancouver But inside sales jobs are available every city in a remote position. I suggest applying through indeed or linkedin. Commissions are plenty and overtime is 1.5 times of the salary. As a beginner after university or a new come with foreign experience in first world country you will be offered immediately. I was a masters student and my colleague indian was from Saudi Arabia who had prior sales experience. Both of us first job was inside sales specialist. You can move on to other jobs once you feel adequately ready or work as sales advisor after some years. All the best for your Canada journey

@@vanterupavith1822 thank you. I arrived a month ago and I am now looking for a sales job. I have been applying for the past 10 days but didn't get any interviews. I only applied to around 15 position though. Adapting each resume to a position takes time and effort.

Am just getting into sales... its comission based only... should I give it a start

That is tough! It really depends on the commission structure and how/when it’s paid out! It’s really sink or swim, which puts a lot of pressure to do well! If that’s currently the only position available for you, I would say go for it because it’s the best way to learn!
