the thing abt social events at work, i love that there isn't a lot of social events. im an extrovert, don't get me wrong, but when im done with work im done. i get along with my co-workers, but that's it. my life isn't centered around my work. its just a job.

Thank you very much, it was interesting to listen to you. I learned a lot of useful things for myself. Maybe you can recommend good sites where you can find work in Norway. I would like to see a video about how Norwegians find work. Through the internet or... I don't know how... Maybe advertisements in newspapers, although that's probably not very effective right now. Thank you for these videos!

Hey Sara! I had a Zoom meeting scheduled regarding these videos and the potential for frame shop work falling under either skilled work or cultural/artistic work, but received a cancellation notice because there were "no open spots". I'm a little confused in that regard, because it seemed like I was reserving a spot when I scheduled? Is there some way to still have this meeting at a later time?

As I heard 5 weeks of vacation I've been lifted in the air by pleasure, here in Italy you only get 2 weeks of vacation, you can have more but it's very unlikely

Despite the salary, is it worth living in Norway? I mean, it´s not all about money, also it´s very important to socialize and get part of the place where you live. I was on holidays in Oslo and was kind of good, but the weather made it hard to do things, as it didn´t stop raining for the entire trip... But also the people weren´t really easy to talk to. I speak german, english, french and spanish, and no even though was easy to talk to people in general.

Thanks, very interesting! Working conditions are not that much different from here in France. I imagine, the biggest difference is about productivity. Companies in here are putting too much pressure to produce more with less means! I would love to try the working conditions in Norway, Sweden, Finland or Switzerland

@@sarainnorway the fun fact with France is the other countries are thinking we are all the time on strike because we are lazy. But we are usually on strike to ask for more means to work better... And to be honest gross salaries are too low

switzerland is totally different. Less vacation and more working jours 42.5 /week is normal fulltime. Also you are not as well protected from getting fired etc.

I cant help seeing is really windy outside there. I have some little doubt; you mentioned sometime, that foreign name can be a problem to get a job, as well as low english level. Nevertheless, i recieved a job offer from an an EURES agent, and since then, i started to planify and gather info about Norway in general (mostly becouse lately, i have been thinking to move abroad. I even started to dedicate time to learn basics of Norwegian language. So i wish to know your opinion: ¿you think that high english level is mandatory? becouse in my CV, i specified my english level es beginer to threshold intermediate, and even so, the EURES agent, sent me that offer.

What agency is this ? :) but it all depends on the job you are applying for . High skilled jobs want you to speak good english - written and verbal.

I don't think my question deserves a separate video, but I really need the answer. If you know, please, tell me, are there any differences between moving from any other country (let's say, United States) and moving from Russia? I live in Russia, and my dream is to move to Norway, I just love it so much! I think after the w_r (I can't really call it with this word, because it's dangerous for me) begun, there could appear some difficulties, couldn't they? I am not asking about stuff that became harder in Russia (e. g. getting visa because of Norwegian consulate in Russia was closed, flight cancellation, and disconnecting banks from SWIFT system), but what I am really looking for is problems that can happen outside Russia, because I am Russian? Like "Because you are Russian, we can't give you visa" or something like this

It's after tax?
@eliamartin139
@eliamartin139 6 ай бұрын
I would say it's before tax. For example, for a 450K salary you would get around 330-350K depending on which "tabell" you're in. It's a big cut, but then you have things like parental leave that makes it worth (you get 48 weeks 100% paid or 58 week 80% paid), sick leave, support money when you're not working, free education and so on.

In my experience, the working environment in Norway can be summarized as follows: "Whether you lie down or you stand, either way, you'll earn a grand". )) The formula is very simple and based on behaviourism: a) by doing slow work, you will be paid the same salary as other employees, and the company will never want you to help others because you are clearly barely making it. b) by doing an efficient job you will be paid the same salary as a "lazy workers" and the company will try to give you more to do because slower workers always need help. Unfortunately, in my experience, Norway is a country where people do not want to work and the organization of work reduces productivity and quenches ambitions.
