my buddy didnt show any symptoms when he got diagnosed in october when they did a biopsy on his legs where they found the lumps he was still eating and up beat. i dont consider a year to be a treatable cancer sorry ur just delaying the inevitable until that day when its curable then that is a treatable treatment..that is why we chose not to treat him we had to put him down on dec 4 nearly 6 weeks after diagnosis but we gave him a good quality of life during his last weeks with us i miss him dearly :( but i know we did the right thing for him to each their own i guess my buddy was 5 yrs old

Im sorry but this is pitching a sale......lymphoma is not curable, a dog with lymphoma with chemo you may get another 12months at best. Our dog has lymphoma (thats how i ended up here) hes only 2 years old and been through hell already, as hard as it is we are letting it run its corse and putting him sleep when the time comes. It fucks me off when vets see a good sale and take advantage of people with desperation to save there pet, be honest and just tell people it is terminal, yes chemo will extend there life but is extending there condition not crewel ? If you love your pet, do whats rite, not what you want

We just dropped our Gordon Setter off at Tufts University Vet center. They have clinical trials there. If u lack funds this might be a way to get your dog treated. Treating your dog and controlling the diet my buy the dog a couple years. Dogs, I've been told don't get as sick as humans do on chemotherapy. Another thing in a couple years , depending on age, another trial could open up.

Just found out today my 6 year old American Staffordshire has Lymphoma ! I got him the meds to make him more comfortable ! He will still eat some things he likes. Like people food. Which is good. And he gets around still for now. Soon as he looks like he is suffering. I will have to let him go to sleep! This is so sad! Went from 105 lbs to 70 in a couple weeks!

My Male Husky is 10 now, never been sick, 6 months ago under his right arm I felt a soft round knot, I called his Dr. and he told me not to worry as long as he is playing , running, eating and drinking. BUT Now I found a large second ball size soft bump next to the original one that has now grown larger; sometimes he acts as if he wants me to put my arms around him and touch it lightly, then other times he will have a fit and not allow me to even go near it! I noticed he has loose bowels now;

Back in nov 2016 I noticed my dog had swelling under the jaw. Took her to vet and they thought maybe lymph nodes issue because of teeth or ear infection. Had her teeth taken care of in dec as well as antibiotics given before the procedure and after. Probably on antibiotics for a month. They also did aspiration of the lymph node at same time. The results were inconclusive and they wanted me to let them take the whole lymph node out to do further diagnostics suspecting it was lymphoma. I decided against that because they were so sure it was that and I did not want her to suffer any more if she had that because I was not going to do any chemo. It is now April 2017. Lymph nodes still swollen but she acts just fine. Happy , playful , eats well with no throwing up. Is it possible my vet has missed something. Pretty much they sent me home with her acting like she would be dead in 6 weeks. She's not! Its been 5 months since then. I am thinking I need another vet to check her out for 2nd opinion.

My almost 10 yr old Shih Tzu just dx. He was more tired, gassy, & then noticed he was listless & began not eating & refusing water. He has fluid between lungs & ribcage. I wasn’t told staging & id think it would be the mediastinum t-cell type, but need to ask vet. Maybe not as 4 days of pred (20mg/day then wean off; 7-10? days total)have brought him back to life. He was Mt chemo companion 9+ yrs ago. Wish I could afford chemo for him.

My vet told me it is not treatable and to not try chemo. I heard about canabis oil will help.

I’m really scared because my 7 year old silver lab has a huge tumor on his neck the size of a grapefruit and he’s going in for surgery December 12 so they can do a biopsy but it looks like lymphoma and we dont have all the money in the world so my parents would most likely put him down 😭

We found out our american staffoshire terrier has lymphoma and the vet told us to give him 20mg prednisone in the morning and in the afternoon. he doesn't look like he's in any pain and I have been taking him for more walks and put him on a diet. we see the vet again on the 19th and some of his lymphnodes gotten a little smaller. is there anything else I should do?
