Eco Chontales is one of those waterfalls that are relatively easy to get to. I say relatively because first you can get to that area by car on a fairly good road, but it is far to get there from San José, for example. We managed to visit it because we were in the Quepos area and from there it is still a trip of almost two hours.
The route to get there is paved until a certain part, but then the gravel road begins, which is mostly in very good condition, however there is a bridge that can be said is not suitable for cardiac patients...
Once they arrive at the place, you can buy a ticket only for the waterfall or they also offer the additional option of paying for food from the restaurant that they have right there.
The walk to the waterfall could be said to be of a medium level, as it does not have a stone or ballast path, but it is less than 1km to reach it.
At the end of the trail one comes face to face with the surprising and spectacular waterfall.
