Your riding jacket should have armor for the back, shoulders, and elbows. The riding pants should have armor inserts at the coccyx, hips, and knees, and if you're looking for riding jeans, they should have armor pads at the hips and knees. Riding boots should be at least ankle-high and have reinforced toe protection.

Some people don't wear safety gear because. Most people don't believe anything will happen until it happens. And sometimes when it happens it's to late to wear anything. So on that note ride smart and safe and get back home to your love ones. My grandpa always said you don't have to get bit by a snake to find out it is poison or not. In other words protect yourself at all times.

I moved to Georgia from Florida about 5 years ago and adapting to riding in Georgia around I285 is NO JOKE !!!! In terms of safety gear, I make it my buisness to wear gloves, helmet, and boots but to each their own.

Me personally, I don't care how hot it gets here in Georgia. I always wear my HJC full face helmet, full leather armored jacket or Joe Rocket armored mesh jacket, armored leather pants or armored jeans. Real leather motorcycle boots that come past my ankles, Rocket motorcycle gloves. I started riding motorcycles in 1972. I'm 68 now and still enjoy riding just as much as I did back then. The brothers tease me because I am always suited up. But I'm used to wearing protective gear. Keep up the great work Sir. Iceman. American Legion Rider...

In the sport bike world I always wore all the gear, all the time. Head to toe. Now that I’m in the Harley world, I still wear all the gear, all the time. Nice vlog.

Love the videos man. I actually just crashed my Sportster a month ago. 25mph and hit the street on my left side, rolled, and slid a bit. I was fully geared up. Helmet, riding shirt, riding pants, gloves, and riding shoes. All “casual” style riding gear that looks like regular street clothes. The gear is lined with Kevlar and if you have CE level 2 or better padding then it does amazing. My pants shredded, my shirt shredded, but zero road rash. I impacted on my right shoulder and only had a separation, no collar bone break or anything broken. Everyone do you, but know that if you go down in gear it will definitely help you out. Ride safe!

I ware a helmet (Bell) always even though Indiana doesn’t require it. Also leather jacket, leather chaps and over the ankle leather boots. We had unusual hot weather last week so I didn’t ride. I can do high 80’s to low 90’s but 100’s is to much

Thanks for showcasing protective gear. Great to see you suiting up. In addition to the usual full slide protection gear, I also use the Helite Turtle 2 airbag vest (the second one you showed in the video). Things can happen in a split second and I want give myself the best opportunity to survive it. All that gear does get very hot in the Georgia summers, but I'd rather sweat than bleed.

I stopped wearing leather a long time ago. I'm not comfortable wearing it. I went with mesh gear. As you said, each person must pick what's comfortable for them and in their price-point and style preference. BUT, don't EVER sacrifice safety for style IMO. 17:00 - the kneepads will feel like they're too low when standing but they'll rest overtop of your knees when you're sitting on your bike. The seam length may differ depending on what boots or shoes they wear and what gear they're wearing under the pants.

I like both mesh and leather. Style is also great for anyone's preference because they have amazing designs in all types of styles. I'm definitely going back for the Sedici jacket as well.

@@ridefitnation The Sedici looks good! I noticed the REVER tags on the gear you were checking out. REVER is a great GPS app worth looking into. The company hosts monthly "How-To" Zoom calls to help users better understand and leverage the app for use.

I'm an Arkansas boy. You better believe people around here seem to hate gear. Not me. All The Gear All The Time. It's a challenge, yeah, but it'll be worth it if/when that day comes. Just remember fellas, it's hard to call 911 if your hands don't work from no gloves and it's hard to speak to 911 if your lower jaw doesn't work. Gloves and full face helmet all the time at the least! For summer the Urbane Pro MK3 is pretty awesome and safe if you're not on a crotch rocket doing insane numbers. My summer gear breakdown AGV K6s helmet Knox Urbane Pro MK3 mesh shirt - honestly the best mesh shirt/jacket on the market (not the most expensive) LEE PARKS design SUMO r gloves Forma Adventure Low boots your pick of jeans/mesh pants - I personally love FUEL marshals or Sargant 2

18:45 - I'm glad you covered the inflatable gear. I read somewhere that the inflation sensors respond better than the tether systems in accidents. For some reason, the tether systems fail more often or do not inflate as quickly or consistently as the sensor systems. FortNine does a brilliant and very entertaining job of explaining: Three years ago: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hJiajdWq2ZyUZ4k.htmlsi=SM2xeV-U-l_n6Iqo Five months ago: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o9WBY5um3s-9nKc.htmlsi=LCZT-jePJ7naC_C5

You have to keep trying different helmets.Cycle gear has a great return policy. You can buy one try it out and return it if it doesn’t work well. It has to be in the condition you bought it . I hope this helps
