OUTSTANDING, great information. What a great job you do on your videos. There is an old saying, " if you are going to be a 300 hitter you must learn for a betting champion." You are a champion in the quail league.

Wow great info! Thank you. You mentioned slowing down the growth on the bird that had thinner legs. How do you slow down growth?

We typically put them in a larger cage and mix the feed with a lower protein and let light

I have some regular browns and i just got some new gold ones that are bigger and their legs n feet are bigger

That’s great. Typically the browns if not jumbo size are usually on the smaller side of the standard quail

@MyshireFarm Do you also mean Tibetans as browns? Mine Tibetans (Dark Chocolate with a blue glow) are the heaviest of my males.

well zack to me you have to look at dealing with customers issues also now you may have claimed this hatch out rate but it did not happen for me i ordered 25 eggs from you and only 8 hatched out and in my little giant i placed a little giant thermometer which read 99.5 through out the process could it be that those remaining eggs were never fertile from start oh yea i kept the humidity between 45 and 55 so maybe on the busines side you should have a final product inspection to make sure who ever is working for is watching your breeding process but thank for the 8 now i start my own business from them

I hope you increased your humidity at lockdown to 75%, if not that would be the issue. Make sure you reach out with your order number so we can refund 50% of the eggs since that is our guarantee

It was enough to open the unhatched eggs to see if they were unferilized. I once noticed that my own quail eggs were half uncertified even though I had so many great roosters in the house. I made some changes and now it is fine. My problem is too many males, at times all hatchlings are male, and the fact that my females are still smaller and lighter than the males. I think it is because I do not differentiate the protein intake and must work on that, but here in Poland good feed was a real issue. Only now there is high protein non-gmo feed available. I had to make mine myself by mixing grains, vitamins, etc. I lost many females because of that but it is an ongoing learning experience. Unfortunately, whenever I managed to order hens they lived short. Only my own hatched ones live long enough and without any issues. Sometimes the bought hen died in two weeks. So things happen. Also ordered eggs are a roulette. Once all celadon and black eggs turned out to be infertile. And there was no complaint from me. Life happens. Quail farmers are not god and eggs do not cost such a fortune to cry. I only feel sorry when new life was formed and was not strong enough to start. But then when I read the problems ppl have with baby quails and mortality or their health, I prefer my own issues because they live their lives quite well and healthy.
