I love your videos. I just returned from a Royal Caribbean 7 day cruise to the Caribbean and I purchased almost EVERYTHING you recommend to pack in the way of clothes and cabin. I wore the cute dress from Amazon that you’ve worn on embarkation day and had several strangers stop to tell me how they loved my dress! I also got the carry on bag, cosmetics bag, beach bag, packing cubes, fan, magnetic hooks and clips, first aid kit, water shoes, collapsable water bottle, Downy Wrinkle Release, non surge protected power bar, towel clips, and on and on! You have the most informative and pleasant videos! I love you!

That Downey Wrinkle Reduce is a Godsend. And to think I've been buying the cheap stuff all these year. I bought almost everything. I made my own first aid kit. I bought the packaging cubes just to use for storage while in my room for underwear bras, panties and socks. Got everything else.

One thing I bring is a 12 pocket notebook which has the plastic dividers you slide papers in. I keep our birth certificates with copies, vaccination cards with copies, flight schedule, hotel information, boarding passes, speciality restaurant reservations, shore, excursions and a copy of the ship layout. That way everything is all together and I don't have to dig around for things or franticly look for things I misplaced that are usually sitting right in front of our face and extension cords.

I discovered a hand soap dispenser that has a motion sensor light built in. I always bring a pump dispenser anyway, and the color changing light inside is perfect for the bathroom at night. As soon as you walk in the bathroom, it turns on. You choose the color you want it to stay on for the brightness level. It works perfectly!(Use a clear liquid soap for the best results).

Thanks for the tips. One thing we always bring are a few clothes pins. This really helps to hang more wet swim wear on that bathroom clothes line rather than trying to fold items over the line. They also dry faster this way. We have been on more than a dozen Royal cruises and are going on the Symphony of the Seas in December. Happy cruising!

Our nest cruise is back to back on the Azamara Pursuit from Amsterdam to Barcelona. It sails from Sept 6 to the 30th. We like the 690 pax ships.

We used the little card holder/room key holder that attaches to the back of our phone. It was perfect for on the ship and use it at home too!

Something that came in clutch on my cruise was a carabiner. I was able to clip all the cruise cards together onto the beach bag for excursions which made scanning super easy. Next cruise I’m planning for more carabiners and even the retractable card holders specifically for the cruise cards. Next cruise will be with NCL. Last cruise was Carnival. Excited to see what’s different and what’s similar

The over the door organizer is a great tip. We brought one of the 6 compartment ones for the closet so the kids always knew where their stuff was nicely folded and organized

What a great video on a cruise packing list, thank you Ilana. My wife and I are going on our first cruise together this coming Monday on the Naviagtor of the Seas for a 4 day Catalina-Ensenada trip and this was so helpful. I'm retired military so packing for a trip is no big deal, but those specific details that pertain to a cruise and shore excursions were so welcome. We will be joining the Voyager of the Seas in Copenhagen next week for a Scandinavian cruise. We have done 29 cruises, all on Royal. We adhere to all of your tips, many of which we discovered the hard way over the years!

First cruise 2006, Carnival. This is in reference to the sea sickness medication I never felt sick, but worried I might that first day. I asked the gal behind the desk what I should buy. She said " do you drink?" I said," yes, yes i do." She said honey, just keep drinking, you will be fine. It's better than our medication 5 cruises later, and her advice has never failed me

Great video as always. I lay out everything on the guest bed and then check that every top and every bottom goes with various combinations. Dress socks/footies are stuffed inside the dress shoes. The same goes for socks, sneakers/boots (Alaska)/casual shoes. Dress belts are looped into slacks/skirts and dresses. I pair a shawl/sweater with the "nicest" outfit for evening strolls/theatre. The same with jewelry; pairs with almost everything. Then I pack. Oh, it's POO-Pourri (not Pou). Love the lavender vanilla scent. Just got off the DisneyFantasy 9-night southern Caribbean.

We're doing a back to back from Rome. The first cruise is The Holy Land Cruise and then , we leave Rome for Ft. Lauderdale. We're cruising on the Odyssey of the Sea. I have your Ultimate Cruise Planner and it is a very thoughtful package. As you mentioned, Royal Caribbean does not have passenger laundries. I bring a clothesline with claps, dry detergent and a micro fiber towel to wash clothes. The micro fiber towel is used to squeeze out excess moisture. The clothes line is magnetic. I take my shower and wash clothes!

Good reminders! Hand moisturizer is a good ideal with the extra hand washing and alcohol based hand sanitizer, a moisturizer for the hands is a good ideal! Next cruise ship I’ll be going on is an 8 day cruise on Carnival Horizon in December!!!! Thanks for sharing

This is great, Ilana, and I love that it's specific to RC! In the summer we cruise Disney on the Fantasy, but for spring break this March, we're giving RC a first try! Just four nights, but it's good to see what they include and what they don't. I've already got those water bottles in my cart and I'm thinking we'll need the lanyards as well. I think it would be really uncool if we wore our DCL lanyards on RC! 😆

We'll be sailing on Adventure of the Seas in November 2022. Two items we took on our last cruise on Symphony of the Seas back in May was a travel clothes line. We hung it across the balcony. The other item was a folding storage box. We purchased it from the dollar store. We used it to put our sneakers and beach shoes in.

Two things we also bring in our first aid kit is allergy meds and stomach pepto because we have had issues in the past with mixes of foods and you don’t want that to wreck your day along with allergy over the counter just helps at the destination a bunch

We always bring Imodium, Musinex, saline nasal spray, liquid tears, stool softener and any otc we might need. Especially on longer cruises. We are doing Ovation transpacific from Hawaii to Australia 19 nights so it is especially important to be prepared for any body issues. Oh, and I always bring “liquid IV” packets to quickly rehydrate on those hot port days.

@@jihuff1 We're taking 5 days after the cruise to go and see the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Then we'll fly home. The problem with re-positioning cruises is they only happen a couple of times a year.

There isn't much sold onboard. We'll be sailing Freedom next (again, for 2 of us) in October. First time as Diamond status...bring on our free drinks!

Great tips for cruisers, Ilana! I will be sailing on the Disney Dream in Feb. 2023. I know you said that you would probably never sail on a Disney ship. It is not for everyone, for sure. But, I prefer Disney ships to Carnival, the only two cruise lines I have ever tried. I love the atmosphere on a Disney ship. Not so much on Carnival. I hesitate to try other cruise lines because so many of them, like Carnival, have casinos and lots of smoking and pretty much party atmospheres. I like the family-oriented vibes of Disney. l use most of the tricks and items that you suggest in your videos, but I enjoy watching them. I almost always hear a suggestion that I never thought about before. Thanks for sharing!

This was a great video. I am going with family then end of August on the Oasis. It will be my third or fourth time. Some of the family it is their first time on a big ship and I have just sent them all the link to your video. Everything you say is everything I bring! However if I tell them its not the same as someone else telling them! Ha Ha! So Thank you! One thing I would add is that the little shelf in the shower. I have been using a piece of rubber rug gripper to keep everything from falling through the shelf, but doesn't keep the water in. Then at the end of the cruise I just throw it away! There may be a better item but that works for me and I don't have much luck with suction cups in the shower to hold my razor.

I agree about bringing my own shampoo, conditioner, etc. There's something about the treated water that tends to dry the skin, or maybe it's the 3-in1 shower products. Either way, I being my own because otherwise your hair will feel pretty yucky by the end of the cruise. And I'm a maniac about hand lotion, so that's an absolute must have for me!

On our North Atlantic and Alaska cruises, I take what some call an entry level 35mm camera and two lenses. Otherwise our cell phone cameras do just fine on Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico cruises. Thanks for the videos Godspeed

Wonderful items and many of them we have and use. You had inquired once before in a video about the toiletries on RCCL. We were in a mini suite on the Wonder of the Seas, and they contain a better premium brand of products and not a 3 in 1. Also, if you decide to do the Wonder, go for the mini suite. It contains a walk-in closet, and the width of the cabin is huge. We weere thinking of upgrading to a suite but were very pleased with the size of our cabin. The three of us all had more than elbow room.

Booked on Royal Radiance to Yucatán this year, next year both Explorer to Rome and Anthem from Southhampton to Vigo, Lisbon, Lazarote & Tenerife! Do use a Lanyard on Royal for the cruise card! Thanks for a great video!

It has been my experience that Royal Caribbean ask that swimsuits not be worn inside the ship, especially in the dining room. I've worn a short sleeve dress over my swimsuit so I do not have to go back to the room to change after a morning at the pool if I want to go to the dining room for lunch then back to the pool.

We are going our first royal Caribbean cruise in June on the grandeur of seas. The video was really great and helpful. I did not hear you mention anything about bug repellent, which a lot of excursions encourage guest to bring.

Great video As Usual! I already have most of your suggested items. One more I take is a magnet sheet with a whiteboard side- & dry erase markers -I leave messages and requests for my room steward- like asking for wine glasses or pool towels. I do also like to leave them a note of appreciation each day - they work So Hard! Cabinmates could use to leave notes - Sailing on LIBERTY of the Seas on 8/20!!🥳

RCL provide l'occitaine toiletries for suites. A big jump from those dispensers 😁. Next cruise in March 2023, Spectrum of the Seas sailing from Singapore to Malaysia and Thailand.

We recently on Wonder of the seas Mediterranean cruise . I brought a Covid antigen kit with me just to kinda check ourselves just in case. Luckily we are fine. And I also brought laundry liquid and hand soap . I just didn’t like using the bar soap to wash our hands in our cabin. I love watching your KZfaq by the way. Our family is going on our first ever cruise on the Oasis in less than 2 weeks! We're celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. I plan to bring essential oil like lavender or any calming essential oil for the cabin. Though not sure if I can bring a wall plug in diffuser. If anything I will need to find a battery operated diffuser.

Hi Illana, good video…i always always bring my own shampoo and conditioner, i bought a set of those brown plastic bottles on Amazon at a great value and transfer the shampoo and conditioner into them because i purchase the large bottles and would be too much weight to carry in my luggage.🚢😊
