What to take on an African Hunting Safari

Having done an 8-day Plains game safari with RDB Safaris, I have put together a list of what to bring and what you might what to have with you. It’s not complicated, but if you don’t know, then you will be around the world wishing you had prepared better.

Great packing tips, but I'll push back a little on footwear. If you're hunting the mountains of the Eastern Cape, I would strongly suggest a decent hiking boot. Other regions of South Africa, sure, wear light weight boots, but the Eastern Cape mountains with the scree and what not, wear a decent pair of leather hiking boots and bring some Crocs for camp..JMO

Great video and great tips. Didn’t know I could fill out paperwork 4457 form months before flying. Though it had to be done on the day of flight.

@@marez26 No, you can do it anytime. Best to do it before the flight. That way, you don't have any issues with delays or missing your flight.

@@marez26 Within 6 months is a good time frame. It technically doesn't expire.
