i'm liking the new lens generally, but think it might be a bit too sensitive when changing focus; it was a bit off-putting, almost like getting motion sickness from it changing focus so much

Been a photographer and videographer for the past 8 years, that lens is GREAT and the depth of field really raises your production value. Just make sure your camera doesn't freak out and lose focus XD

Great video, i love seeing what people carry in their kit. I use the TS100 soldering iron, but i havent ever used the TS80. I love how small and easy to maneuver they are compared to some stations ive used.

If you're looking for a new set of wire strippers, I really like the Irwin Vise-Grip one. It's a bit expensive, however, it's super sturdy and I've had it for a few years without any issue. I'd have a look at it if I were you.

I found some that are the same thing by Klein tools, and they have a blade replacement for smaller wire. I usually use 26 AWG but most automatic wire strippers don't like to go down that far. I'll let you know how I like them or not, but I do know a lot of people who love their tools! I'm not sure of the exact technicalities of this because I'm not an expert. But most powerbanks have automatic voltage detection. So it should detect and output the charge at the correct voltage. Adjusting from device to device. If the device has a battery capacity of less than 50mAh (I speak for my own Anker powerbank, this may vary on your powerbank) this may cause an issue with power delivery. The bit I'm not 100% clear on is, If you plug in a low milli Ampere hour device it may either not charge at all or charge at a rate lower than the devices voltage. This may be the reason why some people have issues with using the TS80 plugged into a powerbank. Most mobile phones will be 3/4000mAh and headphones might be around 500mAh. I may be completely wrong here, so anybody feel free to correct me.

Good video, but not a fan of the lens. I'm no expert, but everything outside of the centre is blurred, and the switching of focus detracts from the content. Sorry.

This video is a fairly extreme application. It’s not often that I wave things around in front of me. Usually I have one item with me and it’s flat on the table. So yeah the focus was a bit mad in this video. I could also change to focus just to on my face, and only show things in more clarity on the top camera. Overall it yields a far better image than the kit lens I was using before.

@@TheRetroFuture Good point. Will be interesting seeing other videos using it. Focus is always a bit of an issue, I suppose, unless it's just a talking-head video. Different video, I know, but your video about TRF game was brilliant. So was the game.

Hi mate I really need your help. I was bought a gameboy color for xmas by my partner, worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago and now the screen doesnt work. The console itself works the screen just went really dark, I could see a very faint picture and hear sound. I googled it and tried a few things including the contrast screw on the inside which made no difference so I thought I'd try a new screen. Ordered one off Ebay and that didnt work either. Any ideas what the problem could be? I'd appreciate any help you have to offer. I'm desperate to get it back up and running as was thoroughly enjoying the pure nostalgia and was getting really into pokemon red lol Thanks mate 👍
@8bitinnovations553
@8bitinnovations553 4 жыл бұрын
Alex, you might want to try to replace the capacitors. It is very likely that the sound was beginning to go a bit faint and you probably didn’t notice, which is a telltale sign of capacitor failure. Btw, if you find the repairs too difficult to do by yourself, there are some sites and listings on ebay from people that are used to those kind of jobs. Good luck, mate!!
