Hey boss man. Impressive results. I might have missed it, but were all the filters clean, or in similar condition? Would a plugged filter skew the results?

@@FordBossMe I own 2 Milwuakees, the one you tested and the handheld model. Love them both, but performance really drops off when your battery is down to 2 bars. Their newer wet/dryvac Packout Fuel model is rated at 45 cfm which is 5 higher than the model you tested.

I've run the Milwaukee battery vac ever since it came out. I suck up concrete, water, and dirt at work weekly it's been awesome for such a small vacuum 👍

I own a Rigid 6 hp 16 gallon. I got a free car detailing kit to vacuum with. The Rigid may not be the most powerful. But the detailing kit puts the Rigid over the top for me. I detail on the side. When a customer needs his vehicle back sooner than I like. Or a Soccer Mom needs a very good cleaning for Dodge Van. I can get the whole interior and between the seats with all the Rigid attachments. $95.00 online from Home Depot with attachments added. Shawn.

Wow! Thanks for sharing this. I’m actually thinking about getting one to replace my 19.2V Craftsman Vac. The vac is still running but the batteries are crapping out and not worth the cost. On the side note, few months ago my co-workers and I were actually talking about which shop vac has the best suction for garage clean ups. One of them said “my wife”. I choked on my coffee and almost fell out of my chair. My apologies if this is not appropriate and I will remove this comment if I offended anyone here. Just wanted to share since this subject reminds me of that day. Thanks again for the review.

One minor thing if I understand correctly is that Maximum Vacuum is important (and i love how you used a proper gauge and all that) but airflow is as well, so measuring that with one of those wind meters or something may be good as well.

Been in the market for a cordless vacuum for small messes or a quick clean-up. For anything bigger and takes more time, I would switch over to a regular vacuum (or commercial vacuum at the local car wash) or an air nozzle. However, I am vested in the Milwaukee line, so it looks like I'll be getting a new cordless vac!

After a few decades of "shop vac" experiences...not just my vac but with others, Craftsman has been the overall leader, for decades. Going way back, "Shop Vac" was the leader but good old Sears brand came through with flying colors. I had thought Rigid had the highest suction from what I have seen in recent past but they are still a good rig to have and use. Glad I still have a decent Craftsman 6.0 Peak low profile unit. Very please with it and I have a 20 foot hose for it !

Please forgive me Ford Boss Me for I have sinned. I did not pause the video as you had asked. I wanted to watch all the way through and see the results before leaving a comment. Both the Milwaukee and Craftsman are red. Both had the highest vacuum readings on the gauge. Red is my favorite color. This reminds me of a saying in the farming community. "If it isn't red.... leave it in the shed"! I have a funny story about my uncle's Farm-All versus his neighbor's John Deere. If anyone is interested I'll gladly tell it with Rich's permission.

That was surprising, the Milwaukee matching the Rigid, I used to do detailing and many here in the UK recommended the Numatic George GVVE370 wet/dry, it's mains only so not really comparable here for this video but holy moly it sucks like nothing I've ever seen, only trouble is it sounds like it has afterburners lol, Still use it in the house though, beats everything else, would love to know what inch vac figures it would give. Hope you're all enjoying your break, BB.

I find "horsepower" rating given (by marketing team) very generous. A 15A 110v outlet will top out near 2HP. Therefore even a 20A outlet will be well under 3 HP.... So the 6+hp rating... Optimistic.
@captainotto5 ай бұрын
That's been bothering me ever since I first saw manufacturers make those silly HP claims. It's not even relevant to vacuum. Why not make claims based on what matters like inches of mercury and CFM? The only reason I could come up with was to bamboozle. And with the math not even being possible for a standard mains outlet I struggle to see how they can even be sold without someone coming at them with false advertising claims. But that said, I'll bet it's something like the motor itself being rated at 30a therefore the unit being "5 HP", even though it will never see enough power to achieve it.

LMAO well this video is gonna suck 😝🤙 I personally have that Milwaukee vacuum I use it basically as you are to clean my car & a little mobile detailing for friends/family I got it because usually I don’t have access to 110V when I’m vacuuming my car I also use it on my work vehicle (there’s definitely no power available out there). It is a bit of a power hog I usually use my big XC8.0 battery for it. I almost went with that Dewalt because it’s both plug in and battery but ultimately chose the Milwaukee because I already am part of the whole Milwaukee tool universe with my M18 Impact and other tools glad my otherwise random decision was correct. I don’t think that Dewalt could handle the dog hair from my GSD in the back of my truck. I’ve added some accessories to get into the vents and all the small areas to expand what it’ll get into also

That was the original brushed version of the M18 wet/dry vac. Milwaukee has a newer Fuel/Brushless version of the vacuum which supposedly has a little better suction and is slightly quieter due to the brushless motor. They function as a vacuum and a blower.
