@@User.name2yeah, apparently both of their real parents are rocklympians who are looking for them and they’re being sought out by beings known as the pink and blue star. Apparently the blue star was actually shown in an episode, it was a sentient instrument that could change form at will. When Corey had it his behavior shifted drastically and he became more like Trina: Vindictive, Sinister, Cruel.

Lanes is so good, I love her. She’s unashamedly androgynous. No matter how much she’s called a dude, or Cor not noticing her, she doesn’t try and be more feminine. She’s a queen. She likes her style and being more masculine, and she’s not gonna change just because of jokes and Cor not noticing her. My only complaint is that the songs were too short cause they were bangers and that this got cancelled way too early cause it could have had Lore for days. This is an underrated and glorious show that deserves more love

Man I wished the series continued, I always wanted to see Corey go diary mode. Apparently, there was going to be a bunch of lore reveals about Corey and Trina being demigods who were adopted by a single dad? And if I'm not mistaken, there was also a pink star (counterpart of the blue star) that was fused with Trina which is why she's so mean.

Grojband is one of those shows that genuinely shouldve lasted so so so long. It had a great set up and formula, and even showed itself to know how to vary itself enough to keep things fresh[tv, ba dum tsh]. They knew to not have each song be from Trinas rage, having moments of love or even sadness, so i feel like there was so much morei t couldve done esp with other musical genres/styles. Plus, come on the music effects as they play were so great.

Proud to say I’m only halfway through so if I end up redundant, ah well, here we are But honestly Grojband was like a solid third of my personality in middle school, to the point where it was my first big fanfiction scene that I genuinely got into debates about. It’s my baby and seeing it talked about in a way that isn’t ‘mmmm this show is kinda cringe tbh’ is. Wonderful. Also got my fingers crossed that the Pink star and Trina and Corey’s canonical demigod heritage is mentioned because it’s basically the only real lore the show has And while I have you, whoever’s reading this far, I feel it pertinent to share me personal headcanon that Corey, Kin and Kon are all just trans guys, and… just kind of assume Laney is also one and were never corrected. Ditto with the Newmans.

Basic premise is that the main boy's little sister adopts a hairless cat that's secretly an evil alien, and nobody believes him so he has to stop the cat's evil plots by himself

Another fun fact: Duncan's shirt from total drama is actually a grojband shirt. Todd Kauffman, who co-created grojband, was also a director for the first few seasons of total drama Island. Apparently, the skull logo is something kinda like his insignia. The insignia part may not be true as I haven't done a whole lot of research, but the part of Duncan's shirt is!

Dude I actually met someone who worked on grojband and they gave me a print of a shot from the show that was a tmnt reference (its cuz i bought a bunch of tmnt merch from his booth) and it was rlly cool to chat and learn ab what it was like working at Nevlana (animation studio behind Grojband). I can't remember if he was canadian or american but I remember him mentioning they had an american side of their animation team for TDI and other Total Drama shows, which was rlly cool

The show was really fun. I was suprised it was never picked up as it gave me Phineas and Ferb but for tenagers vibes.

I loved this so much, my best friend and I would watch it at home just so we could go to school and talk about it. Then we started hating each others guts and I somehow forgot about the show and just assumed it was some sort of fever dream I guess 😭

Never seen this show before but Mina has the same va as Maurecia from wayside school which reminded me of wayside school, it’d be a good show for this series as I feel like it’d mesh super well with the chaotic ass lore videos style. Also it comes with the plus side of all being on KZfaq for free. Starting with “wayside special” which is actually the pilot/movie. And then the next 26 episodes are also on KZfaq for free.
