Thank you so so much for this video. It's so easy to get lost in the sea of "you need product x if your hair is curly/wavy" and when your hair is thinner/finer/less curly it's far too easy to overdo it.

This is a lot of info. I'd love to see it parsed into three videos: coarse, medium and fine hair products. Nonetheless, thank you for taking the time!

Great video! My hair used to get more frizzy by the day until I added a little curl cream and reduced the amount of leave-in conditioner. Now my hair is far less frizzy as the days go by. I live in the Denver area and appreciate advice on dry climate issues. My hair is fine, bleached, and greying, so I need all the the things that repair and moisturize, but are still lightweight. And, yes, I use leaves in conditioner, not rinse out as my go to conditioner. But, I do use a lightweight hair mask once a week, and my hair is a slight bit less wavy, but it doesn't get as frizzy. To me it's totally worth it. I also use K18 to repair my hair, and once a month I use Olaplex to improve my curl pattern and make my hair feel lighter. I started with the basic shampoo twice, leave-in, and foam or gel last Spring since then have added hair mask, bond builders, hair oil, and curl cream. Small amounts, layered, and lightweight always. I tend to have acceptable to good results consistently now, and the results last 3-4 days.

Very helpful and informative video! Can’t wait for your video on the salt, volumizing, enhancing sprays! I have that fine, silky soft, medium-low density hair you talk about so I need to experiment with those for sure! With regards to hairspray, because I have the aforementioned fine, very soft hair, and I prefer strong hold in my stylers because of my active lifestyle, but I also prefer volume and fluffing my hair out otherwise it looks sparse, I tend to add dry texture and finishing hairsprays to hold the style after I’ve SOC. They work, but it also makes my hair a bit dry feeling (and hard to refresh if I have to dampen it). Can you recommend a lightweight, strong hold working spray that I could try before diffusing that might lessen the amount of finishing spray I need? I’ve tried the rizos and it’s not enough. Thanks!

I really like and enjoy your videos, they are very educational. I love that you talk about different hair types and their needs, because at first I didn't understand why is my hair so weighted down after using hair mask, or leave - in conditioner, and then I realised that I don't need them because my hair is healthy. It's interesting that many people recommend foams and mousses like more lightweight products than gels, but I find that mousses weigh down my hair, and that I get more volume with gels. Gels are my absolute favorite styling products, and I prefer to use them on their own, as the only product in my hair.

Agreed. Not everyone needs a hair mask. I tend to use it in the summer and sometimes winter. It really depends on the environment or what I’ve been doing.

Thank you so much for this video! I've binged most of your content so I already knew most of your opinions, but I appreciate how throughout this video is! I'm super excited about the curl enhancer sprays video; I have very soft hair and I'm always looking for more "grit" in my hair

Hi Michelle. I'm just starting my journey with wavy, frizzy hair, natural gray hair. I've got so many products to control frizz because that was my primary concern in the beginning of my gray journey so I'm wondering can I use a frizz control cream (I have Living Proof frizz cream and Virture Unfrizz cream) as my curl cream step? I'm in Louisiana so I need serious frizz control. I bought a sample of the Ouidad strong hold gel that I'm going to try as my gel step. My first attempt at styling my hair curly was an abject disaster, lol, however, on a recent beach vacay, the salt water did something really special and my hair looked great. I guess I need to add a salt spray to my collection. I'm so overwhelmed because most of my life I had fine, stick straight hair. Gray hair has totally changed my texture that I'm trying to learn to love.

I have very similar hair to yours (thick, coarse, wavy, gray) and OMG, the difference that using Malibu C made in my hair! In one wash, I went from straw head to normal - forget soft, I just wanted normal, lol! Actually, I then added Eva NYC's smoothing cream and it DID soften my hair but before the shampoo, nothing got past the mineral deposits. How often do you recommend using this chelating shampoo? I live in the SF Bay area, a hard-water zone.
