SO important to have FUN things mixed into all the core subjects!! That is the beauty of homeschooling for sure 😃 My kids would LOVE to make soap 😄🧼

It’s surprisingly easy to make if you do melt and pour!

That study on herbs sounds so fun. I used to be so into nutrition and what the different vitamins and minerals do. Thanks for the ideas!!

The herbal course and the soap making sounds so fun! We bought a sewing kit off of Amazon where you can make 8 little stuffed animals and are working through that. My kids are loving it. We got chickens a few weeks ago so our kids have been helping with them and are helping in the garden. All of these will go into next year and then I will find out what the kids are interested in trying and we’ll try it out. We also dabbled in candle making this year and I’m hoping to do more of that!

Ohhhh chickens and candle making sound amazing! I can’t wait until we can get chickens. The house we just moved into is in a HOA who don’t allow them 😢

I love the idea of the herbal course...especially teaching your kids edible & non edible local plants. Of course, then my kids would run around eating everything in sight that they thought was edible...maybe I'll wait a few year. :)

We are discussing doing candle making but I doubt we will this year!!! We have poetry from Gentle and classical but we haven’t used the poetry in the morning virtues we have done yet!!! The teen athlete we homeschool is doing the campfire curriculums natural medicine course!!! We did it with my older kids a few years back!!! The soaps look awesome!!! I put those oils in my cleaning products and I only put a few drops in!!!

I also want to include some learning about herbal for my kids! I found the Wildcraft game at the thrift store and used it only once so far and love it!
