That Idaho University murder was a grad student had parents in the home but that still didn't stop him from being a cold blooded murderer The People of that Community must look within for a solution to this problem and by having people who look like the community in charge of attacking this issue head on is a step in the right direction. Amen you nailed it! And the part that gets me is you would think that they would get a freaking clue and go back and raise children the way our parents did! It wasn't 100% a perfect world, but it sure was better than what we are living in now! Before the so-called Civil Rights movement black men and women got married for the most part and most children were born within a two-parent home. Black people worked hard and still came home and helped their children with homework and disciplined them with a belt if they needed too if they got out of line! We were taught to pray before we eat, and we were taught right from wrong and that if you did do wrong, we should own up to it and take our punishment! Now nobody's getting married too much anymore in today's time, parents trying to be their children's friend, children think they are entitled to whatever they want, parents won't discipline children, some are even out in clubs partying with their children, many parents are not good role models today because the children see what they do and act just like them!! Thuggish!! Then they stand there looking like Boo Boo the fool saying I don't know where we went wrong. Come back to the fear of God black people, His curse is upon you ghetto ones, get married before having any children, teach your children right from wrong, stop laying down having sex with any thug like a runaway dog in heat! I'm sick of black people pretending they don't know what the answer is! We feared God and our parents and if we got out of line that belt would put you back in line. Too many single hoodrats are married to the government and keep pushing out babies just to get the free government handouts, not caring about what it's doing to our society! They don't even take them to church or teach them about the bible and God and how to conduct themselves in society as an upstanding citizen! You're right it does start in the homes and God is holding these baby momma's and baby daddies accountable for their actions!

They removed my comment about calling everyone a racist and defunding the police isn’t a good idea either 🙄 I talked about Black on Black crime needing to be addressed and dealt with in our Black communities. I lived in a Black community and tried to do everything possible to bring them together but they wouldn’t have it. I volunteered to help Black youths to get off the streets and into after school programs. We organized community cleanups but only the youth would help us with the cleanup. The majority of the media can’t handle people like myself exposing what they claimed wasn’t a problem. Dialogue is very important and other people’s opinions shouldn’t be deleted because of someone’s “feelings” being hurt. Last but not least, do your research and don’t vote blindly.

How many of these parents take their kids to libraries, book store or teach them about how to grown up and be a good citizen. All this starts at home. Naw Crime is big business. That's why you have the school to prison pipeline. That fuels the prison industrial complex that creates jobs, careers and businesses for those outside of the blk community. Jobs like: correctional officers. Police officers, then there's a need for more courts, District Attorneys, Parole Officers, Suppliers, and prisons. Entire communities have been built around prisons. That's why crime has been allowed to exist in communities like Baltimore. However from looking at a majority black panel that includes DAs. Police and elected officals who look like the community, they have a vested interest in assisting that community. That hasn't always been the case that's why it's so important that Blacks provide the solutions, control the narratives and seek the desired results without any input of ideals or ideology from non blk communities.

We have programs that are here for learning (teachers), doctors for medical care, psychologists therapists for those juvenile who need help with mental emotional illnesses but offenders should be held accountable. but 1st the parents should be involved with any punishment that their child is being subjected too, especially when the offender is not yet and adult.

It begins at home. These offenders were taught by their environment growing up, to behave this way. It's all they know. When all the funding for schools has been bled dry, what do they think will happen? Just because someone tells someone else what they should do, doesn't mean that individual will do it. Or is even capable of accomplishing the thing, emotionally, physically, mentally, or financially. They need to lead by example, and quit trying to pass the buck. It's never made the problem go away, and it's not going to start now. It's going to take decades to begin to see changes, just like it took decades for lawlessness to get to this point. It can't, and won't, be fixed overnight, but damn, it has to start somewhere!

They are at school simply because they have to be terrorizing the classroom and preventing those who want to learn from doing so because you are dealing with their foolish behavior. It’s dangerous to freaking teach. It’s so very sad- I am always thinking “ we did not do this- we came to school to learn and that is it” so what has changed (education is about political stuff as opposed to actually teaching, educating and holding everyone accountable- children, parents, teachers and politicians- stop cutting funding at schools and taking away programs and then complaining… delinquent and under educated children become adult criminals- it’s annoying like one teacher can make 30 something kids all act right- kids are at school for more hours than they are at home- the other day I watched a news thing where a freaking 6 year old shot his teacher- now where the hell did they get a gun or even get the idea that this was cool and ppl saying they don’t know they were old enough to understand what they did- ummmm maybe maybe not but the parents should be charged- maybe then folks would start being accountable for there children- or in Atlanta- a 12 yo was out at like 3 am with a group of delinquents and he and another teen were shot and killed- why the heck were children out at this time 🤔

I've worked and lived in the Baltimore area for over 20 years. It's sad to see such potential wasted. The main reason for ALL of the issues in Baltimore, just like the issues in Chicago, is a Democrat monopoly on politics and policies. Democrats have been running Baltimore, exclusively, since 1967. They use Baltimore as a testing ground for their Liberal ideas, to the detriment of the citizens, and they don't care about all the harm they do. Someone I know who's involved in activism and faith like I am tried to trip me up on my words when I said the problem was related to not taking care of what you already have, developing a good work ethic by having those who can create jobs that lasts between to 2 to 4 hours instead of trying to commit somebody to a lifestyle which they prefer not to be a part of. People want to try to make you fully engaged to the system instead of trying to cater to creating value at your own level. It works fine for about 80% of the people but there's always those 20% of the people that no one in power seems to really care about improving the quality of life for. And now they can't they cannot always protect us from the 5% of them that are really criminals. The only road map we really need are the thousands of wise sayings from ages past.

When I was in high school in the mid- late eighties, we had after school programs and more importantly, a summer youth employment program. These were career development programs for young men and women to learn trades and skills, i.e. installation of windows, facilities maintenance, woodwork, lawn care etc. These programs were designed to help minorities and low income students learn skills that would translate into real world opportunities. Roughly 3 years after I graduated these programs Suddenly discontinued, the results spoke for themselves afterwards. I don't think that it was by accident that these programs were discontinued, America has never invested in the development of its former enslaved people. Study after study has shown that if you provide youth with constructive activities that stimulate their mind and provide positive reinforcement, they go on to be productive citizens. Yet it seems that all across America the only focus is "taking back the streets". Guarantee you that if job programs were brought back to these areas, along with mentoring (like I had), the crimes and despair of blacks in these cities immediately decrease...not just in Baltimore but throughout all majority black cities in America. But the reality is, we know that Long term health and prosperity of black Americans is not a goal of the United States nor local and state governments. I'm not a Bible person nor religious but I do believe that there will be a reckoning for those who have created an environment in this country where blacks continue to be destroyed.

It's not the government's job to ensure that you become successful. The individual (whether he is black, white or otherwise) is responsible for their lot in life first and foremost. The government merely provides the structure or stability under which you can focus on self-advancement.

I'm from Baltimore, no longer there, most people don't give a sh!t until it's one of theirs. Adults have ignored and encouraged this insanity for decades, in a city full of single strong independent women. Crime has plauged Bmore for decades, so how can it be the current mayor's fault. 8 years with 300+ murders, how is that his fault? I had two cousins shot to death and one stabbed to death in communities where they kill activists for trying to help
