It was an unpacked fudge event that cost more instead of less with low quality cameras

For me this was a "same - same" but different event. I pre-purchased the S24 in January, but cancelled the order when I did a physical comparison with my aging Note 10+. Yes, the S24 is faster and brighter, but nothing on offer with the S24 could justify the AU$2500 cost. I DID hope that this unpacked event would release a Galaxy Fold with a built in SPen. That would have convinced me to buy the Galaxy Fold 6, but no built in SPen, so no purchase. The Note 10+ was so far ahead of its time, it is *STILL* a great phone! It does most of the things promoted on the S24, '"circle to search" [with Bixby vision], "real time translate" [with Google translate] but perhaps not quite as conveniently/easily. I'll wait again until the next unpacked event (later this year?) and see what's on offer.

Things are iterative if you don't already have one or you have a very recent version. For folks who've never had a foldable or are coming from a much older version, it will be a big(ger) move. I'm not keen about the buds, though.

I can tell you last year I traded in a Flip 4 and only paid less than $100 for the new phone. That was a no brainer. Now trading in the Z Flip 5 to get the 6 will cost me about $475.

Honestly, in my opinion I like the look of the old earbuds compared to the new ones. And I actually don't care if I own a flip phone.

I could care less if Samsung copied Apple when it comes to earbuds. I currently use Airpods because of comfort, I'm just happy Samsung finally make a pair of normal buds that would be comfortable for me to use all day but we will see once I get it. And I upgraded my watch 4 and will be getting the 7. Can't wait!

Unpacked?? Uneventful, is more like it!! I didn't see or hear ANYTHING, that would pull me from my S23 Ultra!! The Ultra watch? Maybe but only if i can get a good trade in deal!!

The best thing about Samsung is that they increased the software support for their devices. I have an old Galaxy S21 Plus in mint condition and don't feel the need to upgrade. The same thing for those who upgrade this year can enjoy these devices for 5+ years.

Keeping my Z Fold 3 another year.

It kinda already was dust resistant.. Can't be IPx8 without also beeing resistant to dust. Remember that IP ratings is also depending on what the company actually pays for. They can decide to get a IP4x rating just because they don't bother paying for the IP6x rating etc.. And the IP ratings are also a MINIMUM requirement for each class. I.e IPx8 can be either just 1,5m water for 30min or it can be rated for even deeper water or longer period. And so on...

People thinking the buds are just trying to match their competitors are wrong. They tried a different approach for years and realized they are not as good. Wireless buds need a stem so you can easily use it's functions and more importantly, no accidental presses.

Let's be upfront and call it Unpack more of the same over and over. The only 'new' things are the ear buds and ring. Watch design is new but hideous.

Samsung have lost their identity and is clearly following the design style of Apple's air buds and large watch design (Ultra). For that very reason I switch to the Pixel ecosystem a few years ago.

Reviewer have to suck up and say they like the product so they can continue to get products sent to them. This was a big flop for Samsung. The Flip didnt have a bigger outer screen and should have gotten Dex. The fold what can I say, Its the same damn thing just more money to pay for all the AI CRAP. The earbuds ok Apple you win, Samsung has no clue how to be original. The Watch Ultra looks nice to some and some will think it's to much like Apple. I'm just glade I switch to the OnePlus Open that has made having a foldable fun again with it's new modern look and wider outer screen. I'm even excited to see the Google Pixel Fold 2. I will pass on Samsung this year and hopefully they will stop trying to be like Apple and listen to there customers and get their heads out there asses.

No, I dont agree with your assessment. I find that for a "tech" reviewer, your inability to call out Samsung for their lack of innovation, progress, and their inflated value seems disappointing. Samsung gets away with recycling the same hardware year after year, from camera sensors, to screen technology, to charging speeds that are so far behind the competition, yet there seems to be a pattern among the KZfaq "tech reviewers" that points to a complacent, and frankly intellectual dishonesty toward your viewers. How is it possible that Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei, OnePlus, etc. have all made more progress in one or two generations of foldable than Samsung has made in 6?! Thats alarming. Yet you fail to call out Samsung for copying Apple's designs in such a blatant manner. The only thing you're achieveing is making yourself look like a fanboy, and not an objective, honest reviewer.

I have the Flip 5 and absolutely no reason to upgrade to flip 6. No new bold, innovative ideas as samsung seem to be severely lacking in that department. I will be sticking with my flip 5 as pretty happy with it just another boring samsung event!!!

So Samsung decided to make pricey knock offs of the Apple Watch Ultra (even the band mechanism is similar) and AirPods 3 and Pro. God, what a downfall after DJ Koh stepped down. If it weren’t for the excellent tvs and the foldable lineup not having any respectful competitors they would be screwed. And it’s so sad and frustrating to have to say that. Samsung was such an awesome brand. They have an excellent R&D, Samsung display subsidiary is awesome …Now prices are high, they copy everything and try to deceive with that gimmicky AI features.

Only £550 for the Fold 5 in trade-in. Samsung does not think much about the second-hand worth of their foldable phones! As the Fold 6 costs £1800 for the base model, that is a ridiculous upgrade cycle, though no real reason to upgrade as the Fold 6 is of little extra consequence. Thankfully, Samsung has some diehard superfans who would love to give more money to Samsung, so they should see a few.
