Yet again this was so helpful! We are a huge foodie family so I think that’s such a great point. I noticed my kids retain so much more when we try new foods. We are doing torchlight prek and we love parts of it. When I started taking out the parts we didn’t like and added my own thing we were all much happier . It’s so interesting how much things change each month. The whole point is exposure like you said ❤

Love the new haircut. I’d love to hear about any field trips and subscription boxes or extra art activities you utilized

Thank you! As far as field trips they mostly included trips to local international grocery stores and restaurants. For us food made the best cultural connections. As far as art, we didn’t do any with a toddler in tow and just stuck with paper crafts. Though I am interested in doing something more the next time around. The two subscriptions we did like though were Letters From Afar and Universal Yums. Both are fantastic even if you can’t choose which country you receive each month. With the letters we’d sometimes hold onto them until we reached that country and then use it as a beautiful opener to that study.

Another helpful video, thank you. Loved the tip about setting chapter books aside to do at own pace. Looking forward to the chapter books video so I know which to set aside. Just want to say that I went back to an old video and the steps you have put it reading while pacing have really shown well done 👏 And love the hair Arial, really suits you.

I wish I would’ve known I don’t need to do every single item on the list. Also, I wish I would’ve done only BYL first, as an introduction to the concepts of continents and countries, then done TL to explore more about the countries. Probably with a few changes, but I think it could work.

Do you think 2.5 is too young for this? I'm kind of chomping at the bit to do these as our family travels the word yearly and I love the concept of this.

Yes I think that’s too young for the curriculum. I totally understand wanting to get started. It’s so exciting! As a first step into curriculum you might look at playing preschool or blossom and root early years volume 1 for when you are ready.
