Coaching is the issue. Poor play execution every single week. Smith tries to get too cute all the time, definitely an ego problem, wants to see his playmakers be decoys rather than use their oh 'I don't know' ability to be bigger, better and faster than the guy they're lined up against. One of the most successful drives of the entire season was pretty much running HB dive with TG 8 times for something like a 95 yard drive touchdown. It makes ZERO logical sense that a team this talented on offence, with this much skill and this good a defence, with this weak a schedule, can be THIS bad. It's coaching, literally nothing else makes sense. If your QB is below average then you game plan for it.

Arthur Smith and Ridder is what went wrong

You have to understand that coach Smith doesn't know how to set up the defense he just out there calling plays if you ask he why did he call a play he can't tell you and ridder is over confident that's why he makes the mistake he do and can't read defense

i knew falcons was gonna lose before the game and when they was just seeing whether Panthers was just gonna run the ball the whole game. poor coaching. we had the advantage in the defense, run and passing game. smith didnt take advantage. he gotta get fired.

Arthur has bad situational playcalling, almost like the Seahawks on the goal line in the sb, the plays are decent plays being called at the wrong time

They are the Falcons, failure is what they have always done since 1966. Its their birthright. Fortunately, for all the new generation of fans they didn't give you too much hope this year to have it all collapse in spectacular fashion.

I have lived in Atlanta since 1989 and I have watched this poor excuse for a Football organization repeat the same mistakes year after year...NO Offensive line, NO Defense line but a FEW shiny pieces here and there that are WASTED while on the team or they somehow obtain FREEDOM and they flourish elsewhere! Thank the Father above that the state of Georgia has UGA because...WoW!!!
