Imagine the world of 4546B, years before the Kharra bacterium ravaged the planet, changing the life processes that occurred so long ago. The planet of 4546B is a completely alien place to what we now know it to be. It was filled with enormous leviathan-class creatures that dominated the planet for a very long period of time. One of these fantastic creatures, whose skull we find in the Lost River biome in Subnautica, is known as the Titan Leviathan. Another one of these creatures is known as Research Specimen Theta. In this video, we're going to be exploring what these creatures looked like when they were alive, the stories behind them, and what happened to them.
Beware: This video contains spoilers from Subnautica.
Gargantuan Leviathan Video I Talked About: • What Was the Gargantua...
Let me know in the comments section below what you guys think about these amazing creatures! Which one is your favorite? What do you think the Titan Leviathan and Research Specimen Theta would have looked like? Any questions, concerns, or video ideas? Please let me know.

Admittedly, I got a lot of the science wrong in this video. I misread a portion of the PDA and then based the entire video of of it. This video is old and very flawed. I apologize. Nevertheless, a lot of the lore is correct and I hope you enjoyed it anyways :)

We need a game called “Subnautica: Before the Kharaa” or like stop the kharaa which ends in a plot twist showing the Titan and the Gargantuan get wiped out. There needs to be more biomes and extremely big areas in spots that got blocked by the void. The void needs to be around the middle of the new map and the aurora wouldn’t be there leaving a new hole into a crazy biome connected in a way to the lost river, and the titan lives there. The gargantuan could swim in the lost river sometimes but wouldn’t be as big as the grown ups that swim in the newer, bigger biomes. The aurora hole could have another direction that takes you to the biggest gargantuan nest. It also needs to imply the aliens and how they got there

I've been thinking of making a fan story or something like that. It would be very hard and take an incredible amount of work. And if the devs made that game, that would be awesome.

I know you're talking about *before the kharaa* But what if they did *after the kharaa* where the aurora is just a relict and you can find all the animals skeletons, like the leviathan ones, and there should be new veichles, like a big sub, or maybe a, I dunno, a helicopter?? Anyways, would be cool either way

@@saditalian_dorito4289 I actually think that is a good idea. bz still includes the kharaa so i feel like it should go back to the main planet and be like a meltdown era. volcanoes are starting to rise up from the lava zones and its creating chaos around the island. reapers are becoming extinct and sea dragons are becoming more common. different sea creatures that have to do with fire start showing up and certain molten rocks become an essential material

I think the titan leviathan would have looked like a centipede it would explained the holes on its body and the random bones found around it could be the legs also it explains why it has so much armor and since it doesn't swim it can be massive as it will crawl at the bottom of the void and could eat smaller leviathans maybe the frozen leviathan in below zero it would be an apex predator because not many leviathans could go through the armor one more thing congrats on one thousand subscribers!!!!! I visited this thing earlier today and I noticed the lining of the “skull” has ribs like research specimen theta meaning this is less of its bones but armor plating so my guess is that what we see is part of the body. My interpretation as that this thing was like a giant centipede with the holes being for legs. We also see that it curves down so I think maybe this thing was a sand shark and would burry itself in the sand to ambush its prey.

I didn't played Subnautica yet, but I'm a big fan, and from what I've seen from the ancient skull, I'm leaning more to the theory that he was a land creature, like the Ice worm in Bellow Zero, but he would breathe underwater like the sea treader. So the rest of his skeleton would be underground, buried in the sand, which means that we can't see how long he really was. Awesome video, and sorry if I spell something wrong, I'm Brazilian, so I'm not a native speaker

Personally I've always thought the titan leviathan to be some sort of centipede like creature that would dig around. It would explain the fact that it's bone structure would not allow it to float or swim due to the sheer size and thickness of the face plates.

SpeedyMouse if you look in the skeletons body, you can see a rib cage. I believe those holes on the side of it’s body are meant for legs. It has heavy armor plates too. That leads me to believe it doesn’t swim but rather walks on the seabed. That’s why it has the legs to walk. It possibly could have burrowed into the ground creating some of the caves that we see. Just my take on it but I feel it makes sense

My theory I believe that the holes in the side of the titan leviathan’s “skull” where gaps, or sockets, from which limbs would emerge.Judging by the bones, this leviathan could have been heavily armored and had a very dense bone structure.Because of this, I conclude that because of its heavy and dense bone structure, it was too heavy to swim, and therefore walked along the seabed like the sea treaders, hence the presence of limbs emerging from the holes in the side of its skeleton.

It would be absolutely insane if they make a Subnautica: The Time of the Titans (or a similar name), where there's insanely big leviathans, alpha peeper, etc. In this game Alterra finds a precursor time travel machine at the bottom of the void and you play as the explorer, there will be different stages of times, 500yrs ago, 1000yrs ago (u meet precursors), etc. And at the last stage the time travel machine breaks. Then unknown worlds proceed to make 1/2 more games about that time until the character gets advanced enough to make a time travel machine (keep in mind of course it would be in different areas)

as I told the last bacon the titan leviathan looks related to shadow leviathan, chelicerate, rockpuncher, ice worm, theta, boneshark, sandshark, biter, blighter and rockgrub. Maybe titan leviathan is a defensive herbivore and rarely eats meat like pandas.
@SpeedyMouse

oh but the titan looks like a combination of all aggressive invertebrate sector zero leviathans and the rockpuncher the pda says it's to thicc to swim but the shadow and chelicerate can soI think it evolved to make it easier to move across the vast oceans but the ice worm and rockpuncher keep it so they can get food like rockgrubs and snowstalkers

Im probably wrong but I think the sea dragon and sea emperor could be a similar species, maybe the sea dragon is protecting the sea emperor, which would explain why it would bring reapers into the lava zone instead of leaving to the surface. It would also explain why the sea dragons haven't died out yet, it could feed on the microorganisms, just like the sea dragon, they both look similar too

What if the guradian leviathan was some sort of underwater insect. A lot of insect has multiple eyes like him. Insects also have the hard part of their body outside and have organs inside. What if the skull is not only skull, but also part of his body and the holes were for legs, witch were separate part than the body. It would answer a lot of questions about his body. And if he had legs, he would not likely swimm, but was moving some sort of way like lobster or crab. It would make sense because Alan Rees creates new creatures by taking several animals that live on Earth and bringing them together.

my theory on these skulls is they are what remains of a battle between the gargantuant and titan leviathan had both fatally wounded one another and thus both died.

Sorry, but the Gargantuan is 3,000,000 years old, while the Titan is only 1,000,000 years old.
