I also have an LG monitor, and I also had problem with turning off by itself. You must just go to Settings -> General -> Automatic Standby and set off

Do you have the backlights on every day or just for the purpose of nice video editing? they always bothered me for some reason

I always have them on! I have heaps of different presets and can set the brightness level for all individual LED lights / strips. All through the Philips hue system.

I still work in blockchain tech, but mainly focusing on react / typescript front ends & nest.js backends. Mainly web apps rather than direct solidity development 😁
