Great show today.....obviously had a ton of prep time invested in it....nice to have something to keep the excitement going. I just hope that Sampson and Company can manage to utilize this depth of talent in a way that encourages them to stay at UH. GO COOGS!!!!!!!!!!

I got all the clichés in the world ready, but I’m just hoping that they progress and enjoy the moment. I would hope that they stick with the process, but anything is possible I suppose.

Never paid attention to it before but I think the first sock goes onto whichever foot is closest to the shoes and that can vary.

Right then left….Parker how many home basketball games will the Coogs sell out?… GO COOGS!!!

freshmen…..Reality check….if they don’t play defense…and/or if they turn the ball over…they are sitting ! We are too deep…and playing time in games is limited to 40 minute/game or 200 min. a game total ! At 20-25 minutes a game…we are talking 8-10 players max! History of KS…all freshmen sit or red shirt…unless they are NBA ready / 5 rating ( Jarice the exception because we needed a big) ! At best KS plays 8-9 players unless they are up 30 points or 2-3 people fouling out or injured! Although….he has the opportunity to play 10 this year….almost a platooning type rotation…..to keep people fresh and prevent injury for better preparation for March Madness….however….KS 1 &2 … their history and inclination is to win every game and not train and develop kids in games …just in practice!! But they could mellow to keep kids from transferring ( a hurtle) when you recruit 4/5s ..their parents/agents/NIL will get involved and put pressure on the kids/coaches to get playing time..or be gone. While Mercy (shooter) and Chase(defense) have potential….I cant see them doing anything more than Short cameos. Remember…KS is still developing …Francis…Tugler…Arceneaux….Sharpe…Cryer….with Walker and Malik…earning time from effort…with Lath, Jefferson, McFarland…totally raw…..and this doesn’t include your most proven player….Roberts!! And a transfer Uzan?? Totally unknown in our Culture! That makes 8/9 proven players in KS eyes with some still getting better!! Leaving 5 players fighting it out for the 4-5 minutes of the 10th player. Maybe…if Sharpe and Cryer have bad games…then a Mercy might be brought in as instant offense….gunner…or if Arceneaux/Tugler/Roberts get in foul trouble….and we need instant defense…Chase could go in…if he is quicker than Walker/Mylik ?? So as you can see…KS 1&2 have a great problem…I hope he spreads it around more because minutes are limited…but let’s face it ..the Cougars culture and style of play.. Total focus on defense and intense pressure….and winning…..stresses the muscles /bodies to the greatest degree! I can see Roberts sacrificing some minutes ..but the others will test their coaches and find out if they are team players and will share the ball! Not make mistakes! Cryer has the most to gain…if he can become more consistent …just like Sasser had to do! I could see us playing 4 guards or little men at one time ..to speed up the game and put pressure on the oppositions guards…. Create turnovers. The best proven 5 in my evaluation ,,, Is Cryer, Sharpe, Arceneaux, Tugler, Roberts….with Uzan, Mylik, Walker, Lath , Frances coming off the bench…with McFarland , Jefferson, Chase and Mercy….fighting it out to get some minutes…and if any of the above regress or are not stepping up…it may change their options!
