LOL .. The truck .. she knows what the truck means. I love how she figured out the cottage cheese. And for a change, raspberries is taking the back seat. I have blackberries with oatmeal for breakfast this morning. And finally *MY* brussel sprouts! That's not something you usually hear from a toddler. Actually, not even an adult. LOL

She sure knows which are are refrigerated items versus not refrigerated dry items. She may not have named the garlic and onions offhand but she sure knows the difference it belongs to the dry items bowl. That exuberance for grocery unpacking is so refreshing to see. Thanks for sharing!

I Love this video of Sophia helping her Mom and dad with the groceries every week, She speaks so well for a 2 year old , and takes great joy in taking out the food items one at a time and saying what it is, or asking what it is. You as Parents are teaching her well at a young age and hope that she will continue to help unload groceries when she is older. I enjoy your channel and look forward to it daily. 😀😀❤❤❤

Her enthusiasm is delightful!!😊😊 I can't help but wonder if she can read some words or is her food knowledge from sight only? Her ability to recognize an item and pronounce said item correctly is amazing for a child so young!! Her vocabulary is vast!!❤❤❤

I think it’s mostly recognizing from sight, but she knows some words and letters too. Sometimes labels have pictures as well.

@@THECOOLEATS the fact that Sophia does recognise + identify things using visual cues on a packet / tin, such as the pistachios + cans of beans, beets, bread=toast, etc, is actually a Reading skill. It's academically termed "Pre-Reading" and it's the first step in reading. Much like a baby that goes through the stages of - rolling over-to sitting up-to crawling-to taking a few steps- to walking-to running (excitedly to Get The Groceries + Help Honey unpack.) . Reading can only happen with pre-reading skills first. Sophia has already mastered a number of the steps in pre-reading - - saying words that in time, not only do parents understand but others around do too - to stringing several words together "I want" - to full sentences - to understanding images around then (pictures of a squirrel, of green beans, of fish etc) - to seeing pictures on things have meaning + context, like when Sophia sees a pic of cottage cheese on the tub so then recognises it's a tub of cottage cheese + not a tub of washing powder. So many steps to master + all of these steps are not normally manifested + unified with such solidarity until a child is 4-5 years old. Here is Sophia at TWO, already mastering with high proficiency these skills. Therefore showing that she has indeed mastered PreReading skills. Next step is Letter Recognition so when she sees the pistachio packet, it will become a combination of her pre-reading skills of today combined with her saying Honey, there's a P a P Honey, do you see the P here and Honey can explain the P stands for pistachios . Tracing the letter P with her finger will be part of a combined PreWriting + PreReading skill set. Oops, this Retired Teacher has given a conference to you about PreReading 😂 rather unintentionally I might add. I began simply to compliment her High Intelligence 🎉 Congrats + Thank You to the entire family for sharing such highlights 🎉 🇦🇺

The excitement of unpacking, knowing the names of groceries is fascinating! Sophia is proud to do her job correctly and efficiently and she’s eager to help! 😂 I agree. I'm not a kid person either. And, as adults we sometimes forget, we were once this small too. And, yes every parent raises and teaches his/her child as they want. But Sophia is truly a smart, intelligent, and very blunt to the point little smarty. It's a joy to watch her learn all these things. I think these videos are great to share with your toddlers. There's a saying in my country and where I come from "the first 7 years from home" From the time they can walk, and start to understand......those first 7 years are the most important. They truly do watch, and repeat everything mommy, daddy, and older siblings do.
