What will Rasmus Hojlund bring to Manchester United?

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta over Rasmus Hojlund.
The deal in principle is worth an initial £64m with a further £8m in add-ons. Atalanta went into negotiations wanting £77m guaranteed.
As previously reported by Sky Sports News, the forward's destination of choice has been Old Trafford, so there was no concern over PSG's interest in the Denmark international.
Personal terms were no issue, with Hojlund agreeing a five-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.

Bruno Fernandes aside, all have been flops, most barely played for the badge, some even caused disaster in the dressing room. I bet Hojlund would have said (club name) was his dream club if they were champions league level club.

Since Van Persie we have had 7 years of injury prone Martial who plays 10 games a season or old men that come for a payday, Falcao, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Ighalo, Wehgorst. We finally have a young up and coming Striker who will improve and have his best years ahead of him. Finally a great Striker signing

This lad is physical, he's strong, can hold the ball up well, links the play very well, has tremendous pace for a big guy, plus his movement is very good. Not only that he works hard & presses well. Under the coaching of Ten Hag & his staff especially Benni McCarthy he's gonna only get better & better more ruthless infront of goal. United have got one of the best young strikers in Europe that will suit Ten Hag's system perfectly.

As a utd fan it's refreshing that we've signed a ST that is so young. Really used to us signing a Zlatan, Cavani, Ronaldo, etc. being decent for 1 season and then leaving or falling off. We haven't made a signing like this since Martial in 2015. Excited about what he can bring to the team long-term

What I love about all of our signings so far is that they not only plug a hole of recent weakness, these players compliment each other in their play style as well as attribute-rivalry; they are REALLY going to learn and up their individual games from each other.

First, Hojlund wants to play for ManItd, that is so so important. And I have now come to believe that ETH surely knows how to groom talents and get the best out of one with potential. People keep saying, but he is only 20 years old, we should not expect too much, well if we should not expect too from him as an adult who has been training at a high level for a number of years then we should walk away from the deal, for a could its a massive fee, we need to remember the 92 youth group and at younger age than Rasmus they were ready, Giggs, Scholes, Becks, if Rasmus is not at that level then he not worth the money or the talk.

I have always said ,a football player by name can b called a footballer when he can run with the ball and in doing so is in total control of the ball,running past players with the ball,changing direction whilst running with the ball,picking up the right pass or cross when running with the ball and finally whilst running with the ball chooses the right touch when running at speed with the ball……,and this kid got it all in abundance,in one of his clips I sow him pass the ball forward in such a manner and perfect pass forward that once he did that then he smoked 3 defenders like he was just having a jug in the park and got to the ball yards in front of the three defenders after being yards behind them and he got to the ball first which the keeper lucky made himself big and the ball hit the keeper.that reminded me of the run grate Pele did when he passed the ball forward and went around everyone,even the goalkeeper but the angle defeated him at the last second?!!

I’m actually happy for this signing. Yes I don’t believe he’ll be amazing because he is lacking experience. But he will allow rashford to score and will score himself few goals. He will ultimately be a good ball carrier and start plays and be very good at pressing! It will take time for him to be good! Let’s not compare him to haaland! the price is stupid but if you replace nothing(weghorst) with something. you get something. 9 goals a season is what weghorst, sancho and martial got in the league last season combined 😂 i see this as an absolute win for united. from what i’ve seen at least he doesnt have haaland trampoline first touch.

The price isn't stupid at all. Felix was 120m. Morata was 78m. Vlahovic was 75m. Dembele was 105m. Osimhen was 70m. Nunez was 75m+25m. Jovic was 70m. Isak was 65+5m. It is the going rate for a young striker with his potential.

To be fair to Weghorst, he did well at link up play and pressing,he just couldn't hit a barn gate.The final third was a yard or two too fast for him in the prem.Same problem at Burnley. Hojlund looks a very exciting prospect.
