This same thing happened to me. I wanted an African American doll and my mom didn't want to buy it for me. She finally gave in and I loved that doll just as much as my other white dolls! Skin is just a color people, we are all beautiful!

I have a sister who was pregnant with a black baby and she wanted to abort it. I told her to let my husband and I adot it instead. Of you murdering it. I couldn't have kids and live children. She said you wouldn't want to raise a black baby. I said I didn't care what color the baby was, black, green, purple orange or rainbow colored. Color is not the issue. That child deserved to live. I lost the battle and she aborted(murder) it. I cried for days. Where I live I was given a black cuddle doll and I enjoy it and appreciate the gesture. Color is NOT the issue.

I grew up in the 60-70's I had childhood play mates didn't matter people are people, as the last gentleman said We are ALL Gods children. My sister had a African American doll named Billy Holiday when she was younger, and tho my sister in now 51 yrs old she still has Billy Holiday. No one touches it, it sits on the shelf prettier then ever among other things from my sisters childhood. Bottom line we are ALL human beings first, and for most and Gods children.
