Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It was a delight to meet John! Portland is an amazing city. This life experience was such a great reminder to myself to be kind. I'm certainly not always kind but I try to remember this when I start to feel entitled and act poorly. (Because isn't that the root of so much of our bad behavior?)
@Messilegend10008 жыл бұрын
You are so ... wow. Mary me bitte. I think it requires more toil to be patient and caring. Most people wanna be kind. Impulsive extreme illogically good kind. But the fear of someone taking advantage of them or mocking them... comes to mind. so we tend to go defensive. I wanna have a world where i blindly trust every little bastard out there. and i want them to trust me too. i guess i'll never meet you... and THAT. FUUCCCKING SUCKKS.

+TheQueenofquirky You were too sweet :), if i was you to be honest, i would report him or at least yell at him immediately because it's not professional at all. I'm not mean... but my first job, when i was in college was as a shop girl... and so far that i can remember, i never treated my customers that bad. Now, since i become a grown up woman, i wouldn't tolerate that kind of behaviour because all of us need to learn how to respect ( the customers and also the company that hired him). I hope you have a joyous day, you blessed with that beautiful sincere smile.

Digby Dooright To see how people from that specific geographic area would react to a barista's negative behavior, so then they could generalize it. It is just a social experiment. E.g., people from Texas would kill him, New Yorkers would show him his rage with a couple of words, Latino people would insult the shit out of him, Peruvians specifically would insult him and then pay somebody to kill him, and so on...
