This was fantastic. As a bass player, I have been studying the Bach 'cello suites for as long as I have been playing. His pieces never get old for me, and they are so incredibly rich in improvisational ideas that I keep returning to them over and over. Really great lesson!

Thanks for the kind words, Steven! Hope this helps you get the useful info out of the Cello suites, and be able to use them (rather than a practice and forget system that seems to happen a lot with Classical music/transcriptions). Stay tuned for Part 2!

Stay tuned for Part 2, which will be up on Monday (so as not to cluster too many videos together - also had a slight change in initial plans)! Please do let me know how this helped you out, and hope it's inspired you to dive deeper into this music, and any of the other stuff you may be working on!

Do go check out Part 2 which went live yesterday! Talking about sound, touch and dynamics (as well as a few other things you can learn from Bach)
